Property Description for 151 West 17th Street, 4-H

This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom south facing condo apartment is located in prime Chelsea. In our post-Covid lifestyle environment, having space has become even more important…this home is approximately 1,683 square feet!! With an open-layout, it lends itself a very loft-like sense of living and plenty of areas to transform into your work-from-home office. You'll be glad you decided on this one! Enter the building off of serene tree-lined West 17th Street, right near the Rubin Museum, with an additional entrance from the 18th Street. Heading through the lobby past the full-time concierge, the tone will be set as you stroll past a tranquil courtyard garden right off of the lobby. A greatly needed resource for a quick-mood adjustment before settling into your home. The apartment itself is just one of two units on the floor. As you enter, you'll be greeted by beautiful hardwood floors, direct light throughout the day, and a noiseless slice of The Big Apple. The Poggenpohl kitchen is outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances, including a Sub-Zero fridge, wine refrigerator, Bosch stove/oven, plus a large sit-down Caesarstone kitchen island. While the living room and kitchen are the heart of the apartment, you can easily remove yourself to a separate section of the home, where you'll find an oversized main bedroom suite. The spa-like main bathroom is outfitted with a Calcutta marble oversized soaking tub, separate stall shower, and the all so important…double vanity. California closets in both bedrooms provide well-organized storage solutions. No detail has been overlooked in this magnificent apartment, including electronic shades, custom window, individually-controlled climate regulation in each room, new custom radiator covers, and a Bosch washer/dryer. The Campiello Collection is one of Chelsea's highly sought-after luxury buildings, complete with 24-hour door-person and a full-time super. On-site amenities include parking in the building, a fitness room, bike room, package room, and a Zen courtyard garden. Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
