Property Description for 725 Lafayette Ave, 1-A

Introducing 725 Lafayette Avenue; a newly constructed boutique condo, featuring seven (7) over-sized one-bedroom (1BR) simplex & duplex residences, most of which feature private outdoor space. The building is situated in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant, a half block from Herbert von King Park.

Residence 1A is a sizable one-bedroom (1BR), one-and-a-half bathroom (1.5BA) duplex spanning approximately 871 SQ FT. Honey toned hardwood floors introduce a subtle, neutral warmth to the space upon entry.

Upon entry to this residence, you will first discover the kitchen outfitted with minimalist white lacquer cabinetry accented by a grey, subway-tiled backsplash and a generous "breakfast bar", which is perfect for a quick bite or extra seating for more expansive entertaining. The kitchen is equipped with a top-of-the-line Bloomberg stainless steel appliance package.

The living room continues a theme of generous proportion that provides an uncompromised space for formal living and dining, highlighted by a vastness of natural light and air overlooking the private yard.

The bedroom is not only gracious, but well lit; perfect for those with a green thumb. The bedroom is well-proportioned for for large furniture pieces; and let's not forget the over-sized closet!

Approaching the lower level of this duplex residence is a substantially sized recreation room and a half bath.

725 Lafayette is ideally located directly next to Herbert von King Park, and is surrounded by neighborhood favorites such as: BKLYN Blend, Vida's Brooklyn, Guacuco Bed-Stuy, Petisco Brazuca, Peaches, Bar Camillo, Little Roy Coffee Co., Nagle's Bagels, Warude, Bed-Vyne Brew, Brooklyn Kettle, Peace and Riot, Eugene & Co, Crossfit Outbreak, Blink Fitness, Swell Dive, Dynaco, and many more.Subway access includes the Myrtle Willoughby Avenue G, Bedford-Nostrand Avenue G, and the Kosciusko Street JMZ train.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
