Property Description for 55 Hope Street, 410

55 Hope is a timeless nod to mid-20th century Brooklyn. Featuring unique loft living in a synthesis of classic architecture and modern amenities, residents can enjoy the sophistication of years past with the convenience of today. Carefully crafted interiors were created to highlight the original features of the building, including soaring, exposed concrete ceilings and large windows that frame the classic urban and Manhattan views. Wide plank oak floors, 8 foot solid core doors, white glass counter tops, imported Italian chef''s kitchens with stainless steel appliances, Kohler fixtures and spa-like bathrooms with Zuma soaking tubs, Toto toilets and washer/dryers add a clean elegance to the charm of the warehouse details retained. Several units also feature home office spaces.
55 Hope is not just a place to live – it’s a lifestyle chosen by the discerning renter seeking distinct NY loft living with an elevated twist. Residents and guests are welcomed by a dramatic lobby lounge surrounded by bamboo gardens. Elevators transport residents to their lofts and provide access to the complimentary 8,500 SF landscaped roof deck offering panoramic views and opportunities to soak in the rays or relax with some outdoor yoga. A state of the art fitness center (also complimentary) allows residents to stay in shape. A virtual doorman and resident superintendent offer security without sacrificing privacy. Bicycles and all other items may be stored in one of the many dedicated private storage spaces.
Located in the midst of modish, New York City lifestyle, 55 Hope is within close proximity to four public playgrounds, three community gardens and some of Williamsburg’s best known parks, including McCarren Park, which is popular for its concerts, festivals and pool. Dozens of Zagat-rated restaurants decorate the neighborhood. While it’s difficult to imagine running out of spots to try in the neighborhood, the G (Metropolitan Ave) and L (Lorimer St) trains are each 3 blocks away, with the J, M, Z (Marcy Ave) station just a few blocks further.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
