Property Description for 225 West 83rd Street, 20-H

Extremely rare high-floor and fully renovated split two-bedroom, two-bath condominium home with a west-facing wall of oversized picture windows, soaring 10-foot ceilings, invisible speakers from Stealth Acoustics (Sonos-friendly), and incredible Hudson River, New Jersey, and evening sunset views from every room. The current owners underwent a slab-to-slab renovation sparing no detail and rending a new-construction home in the well-established and centrally located Bromley Condominium.

The level of craftsmanship to create this masterpiece cannot be overlooked. All of the electric and plumbing was updated, the floors were replaced with wide-plank 7 inch solid-oak, and the central air conditioning system operates on three zones with wall thermostat operation and Honeywell smart operation which allows the user to control the temperature setting from anywhere in the world. Every room is hardwired with solar shades, blackout shades in the primary bedroom, controlled by both individual wall switches and handheld remotes. Every closet was professionally outfitted by Pianca Wardrobe, and there are four solid-weight interior doors imported by Pietrelli, from Italy. Also included are ultra-high-quality invisible speakers installed throughout the living and dining areas, on multiple zones, with Sonos Bluetooth operation.

The kitchen was completely reconfigured and reimagined into a modern open chef's kitchen with a four-seater breakfast bar, Pedini kitchen cabinets, under-counter sensor lighting (a must-see), and Calacatta Opaco countertop and backsplash. Top-of-the-line appliances include a Gaggenau high-speed invisible induction cooktop, Gaggenau double wall oven with Gaggenau speed oven and microwave, oversized Gaggenau refrigerator/freezer, Subzero wine refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, and integrated deep stainless steel sink. Both bathrooms have soul grey Pulido tiles from Porcelanosa, Robern medicine cabinet on soft close uplift, high-end vanities, and Floating Toto Commodes. There is also a Bosch Washer and Dryer in the primary bathroom.

The oversized primary bedroom, separated by a Pedini Pocket door, gets tremendous light with dual exposures and overlooks the northwest corner of Broadway and 84th Street. The second bedroom is fully insulated and entirely soundproof from the rest of the world. The space is currently used as a home office or guest room with a custom pull-out queen-sized sofa bed. The room is also equipped with floor-to-ceiling Pianca closets.

Lovingly renovated by the current owners, their busy lifestyle did not afford them the opportunity to visit this home, so it is almost completely unused.

The Bromley is a renowned Upper West Side condominium with the highest level of service, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, 24-hour porters, resident manager, and garage with valet service (with extra fee). The pet-friendly Bromley boasts unparalleled amenities with a 44-foot indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, private events lounge with catering kitchen, storage (waitlist & fee), bike storage, and a central laundry. There is a 10,000 Sq. Ft. fitness center and a studio with scheduled classes, a beautiful roof deck and a roof solarium. There is a lending library and a large playroom. The Condo was recently able to complete the renovation of all of the hallways (which are windowed!) and install new oversized elevators. For all of the amenities, service, and space this home has to offer the monthly charges are unusually low.

Upper West Side | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Bracketed on its east and west borders by massive city parks, the Upper West Side (UWS) is known for its greenery, stately and elegant townhomes, safe streets and great schools, all of which make it a very desirable neighborhood for families. The UWS has maintained its community feeling, making it attractive to young professionals and retirees, both of whom want a sense of belonging in the place they call home.

Here you’ll find many apartment buildings, especially those along Central Park West. Historic architecture abounds, anchored by four luxury co-ops - the San Remo, Majestic, Century and Eldorado apartments - all of which have two towers on their interiors. They were built in the 1930s and their design was predicated on a 1929 building code that imposed a height limit on residences facing the street. There are also impressive row houses near Riverside Drive throughout the W 70 and 80 Streets. Above the 90s, you will find smaller buildings where walk-ups are very reasonably priced.

There are several world-class museums and venues dedicated to the performing arts. Plentiful dining can be found in the UWS. You will find everything from quaint Jewish delis serving up bagels and a schmear to sophisticated fine dining that has earned multiple Michelin stars, and everything you could possibly want in between. There is also abundant shopping and a vibrant nightlife.
