Property Description for 15 Broad Street, PH-3920

Imagine living on top of the world with privacy, tranquility, light, gorgeous sunsets, and breathtaking views of the NY Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. Imagine living in a premier Corner Penthouse Duplex designed by world-renowned architect Philippe Starck, in an iconic landmark building formerly home to JP Morgan Headquarters built in 1918. Once you open the door to this absolutely spectacular sun-flooded 3,216 square foot three-bedroom, three and a half bath masterpiece, you will never want to leave home. Upon entering this gorgeously designed duplex, you are greeted by a gracious foyer, 11’ high beamed ceilings, newly finished 4" solid maple floors, and 15 wraparound windows that shower you with light. Perfect for entertaining, this home was built with every modern comfort imagined. The open kitchen was newly renovated with a custom island, flawless white Corian countertops and premium appliances (Bosch stove and convection oven, oversized Meile refrigerator, Meile dishwasher, custom Hansgrohe faucets by Starck, and stainless steel sink with garbage disposal). Elegant bedrooms have their own ensuite bath, clad in white 16’ honed Thassos marble and Starck designed fixtures. The windowed master bath has an en-suite five-fixture bathroom, double sinks, deep Duravit soaking tub, and separate glass-enclosed shower with Hansgrohe shower fixtures. Other noteworthy features include hardwood natural flooring throughout, an upstairs studio den, room-size walk-in closets, and wiring for all modern-day technologies. The penthouse also comes with multi-zoned air conditioning, a Bosch washer & dryer, and abundant storage. Penthouse 3920 at Downtown by Philippe Starck is being offered for the first time since it was converted to its luxury splendor in 2008. Of all the buildings downtown, this remains one of the most coveted for its history, award-winning design, and white-glove service. Building amenities include 24-hour concierge and doorman, full-service valet, amenity space boasting an outdoor 7000 square foot STARCK Terrace Park with reflecting pool and fountain, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, basketball court, squash court, 24 person screening room, business center, yoga-ballet studio, sports lounge with pool table and children’s playroom. 15 Broad sits between Wall Street and Exchange Place, directly across from the NY Stock Exchange, a few short blocks away from Brookfield Place for designer shopping, Eataly, the Oculus at the World Trade Center, waterfront restaurants, Whole Foods (coming soon), fantastic museums, and plenty of green parks and historic sites. Convenient transportation lines including J, Z,4,5,1,2,3, R, and the NJ Path train. Living here is to live every New Yorker’s dream. It must be seen to be truly appreciated.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
