Property Description for 77 Seventh Ave, 6-B

Showing by appointment only.
Welcome to apartment 6B at 77 Seventh Avenue: The Vermeer - a bright and quiet refuge at the intersection of Chelsea and the West Village; an unparalleled location close to the Meatpacking District, Union Square, fine dining, shopping and transportation.

The much-coveted B line at the Vermeer is rarely available and the space has been discounted to provide you with the opportunity to renovate to your taste. Originally a jumbo alcove studio, the apartment was reconfigured, creating a separate bedroom area and an enlarged kitchen, however the bathroom and kitchen are in original condition and in need of upgrades. Please note that some of the photos are virtually staged and show the space's amazing potential.

You will not see another apartment like this: The space has been professionally soundproofed (floors/ceilings/walls including a custom built sound diffuser that looks like art!), so if you are noise sensitive;this is your home!

With low monthly maintenance which includes water, gas and electric, once renovated, this apartment can truly be your dream home. There is also a bundled option for cable/hi-speed internet w/Spectrum for $67/month.

Some features include:
Large Entry Foyer
Bright East Exposure
Large Kitchen
Large Bathroom
Thru-wall Air-conditioner
4 closets
Low Maintenance (which includes gas/electric)
Pin drop quiet!

The Vermeer is a luxury, full-service, pet friendly coop, with a central laundry room, garage and bike room.
The stunning planted roof deck with panoramic city views and Wi-Fi has been described as "your planted Park in the Sky!"

Pied-a-terre purchasing and guarantor/co-purchasing are not permitted.

Please call w/24 hour notice to schedule your viewing - and remember to bring your contractor and an offer!

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
