Property Description for 60 East 55th Street, 30-B

Manhattans streets are invigorating, and many covet the opportunity to take it all in from a birds eye view. Those who seek the best of both worlds need look no further than the oasis of apartment 30B at 60 East 55th Street.

This rarely available, high-floor unit is located at 55th Street between Park and Madison Avenues in the heart of Midtown East's most affluent area right in the epicenter of New York City.

The serene haven of the 30th floor offers picturesque sights of a vibrant cityscape. The dreamscape views are breathtaking, providing a venue for both gregarious party hosts and meditative city-dwellers.

From a bedroom window to an airy living room, the home offers the hard-working Manhattanite a front row seat to the iconic New York City Skyline with its sweeping views and an abundance of light throughout the apartment, from its eastern and southern exposures.

The 2 full bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms apartment was gutted and renovated from head to toe, marrying New Yorks historic past with her modern age. The apartment is only one of two apartments on that floor, giving you privacy and quiet elegance at Park Avenue Place, one of the area's finest luxury condominiums.

Upon entering the residence, one is welcomed by enthralling light, be that in bright daytime or in glittering twilight. Friendly beams dance their way across sleek hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows and onto the shimmering elegant walls as you gaze into the elegant layout of this home from the entry foyer.

From there, the ubiquitous glow leaps to varied areas of the home, entreating both resident and guest to follow. After crossing the threshold of this home through the intimate foyer, one can journey to the following enclaves.

Just off the intimate foyer to the west of the apartment nestled the large Primary Bedroom, which features floor to ceiling windows and spectacular city views. The Primary Bath features a standing shower and a large tub, with plenty of windows which allows for an elegant and airy feeling as you enter the bathroom, and both it and the other bathrooms house an abundance of smooth marble.

From there, one makes their way into the wide-open living room; a multi user space with spectacular floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings awaits you for fun-filled game nights, rowdy TV football games, classy cocktail evenings, grueling work-out routines or cozy book-filled afternoons.

The brand new chefs kitchen lies open to the living room. The eat-in space is complete with wooden cabinets, quartz countertops, Subzero refrigerator, a Miele stove, a full size wine fridge and Miele dishwasher. Whether its inviting a date for a late-night glass of wine, chatting with an old friend over hors doeuvres or learning about the kids day at school, the warm kitchen is sure to please.

The eastern side of the apartment also hosts the guest's bathroom, the washer/dryer and the secondary bedroom, complete with its ensuite bathroom.

The apartment features beautiful hardwood floors throughout, marble bathrooms and sleek kitchen cabinetry. All of which make this apartment an ideal Primary Residence, Pied-a- Terre or an Investment Property.

Park Avenue Place is picture-perfect for the sophisticated Manhattan denizen, complete with a concierge, whose round-the-clock nature will become like family. The pet-friendly tower also features the world renowned Core Club which features a luxurious spa, a state of the art fitness center and restaurant all amidst the exciting hustle and bustle of Midtown Manhattan.

Whether its a jog in the Park, an easy commute downtown via the 4,5,6 & Q trains, or a scenic ride down Park Avenue, 60 East 55th Street is perfectly accessible for both New Yorkers that want to soak up every bit of life and the visitors that travel to enjoy their company.

Upon bidding farewell to the friendly concierge and ornate edifice, one can take an easy stroll to boutique shops, upscale restaurants and Museums, as the building is just steps away from the world famous MoMA. Whether its an afternoon walk down Park Avenue or a sunset stroll in Central Park, residents and their guests can access and delight in so much that the Big Apple has to offer. The city beckons you to drink her in. What are you waiting for?

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
