Property Description for 77 Seventh Ave, 7-N

An impeccably renovated junior-4 one bedroom is now available for sale in one of downtown's most sought after cooperatives, The Vermeer at 77 7th Avenue. This oversized one bedroom with separate dining alcove is the pinnacle of turn-key incorporating a sophisticated design with top to bottom contemporary updates. As you enter into the foyer you notice the scale, space and light the home affords; facing south, the apartment has warm sun throughout the day.

The gut renovation is felt immediately by 4-inch wide plank white oak floors, skim coated walls, LED lighting throughout, new solid core doors and an open living concept accented by an impeccable kitchen. Behind the walls the electric and plumbing has also been completely redone. The kitchen boasts an open design that flows seamlessly into the separate dining alcove and living room. It features custom shaker white cabinetry, glass subway tile backsplash, honed black granite countertops with an overflow breakfast bar for more casual dining and a suite of top-of-the-line appliances including a Bertazzoni oven and range, Liebherr refrigerator, and a Bosch dishwasher.

The L-shaped living room maximizes utility and leaves ample space for both an oversized dining table where you can host a dinner of any sorts as well as space for a separate work from home office area. Although easy to miss, the living room is accented by custom built-ins that cover the HVAC and provide additional hidden storage.

Equally impressive is the king sized bedroom which spans 22 feet in length and has not one, not two, but three oversized closets including one true walk-in closet. Each closet is perfectly customized with solid wood fittings including drawers, shelving, shoe racks and added on/off automatic lighting for the ultimate convenience.

Just outside the bedroom, ideally positioned at the end of a hall that features a fourth fully fitted and massive storage and coat closet, is the designer bathroom. The bathroom's finishes include a deep soaking tub, Toto Toilet, Hansgrohe fixtures, and a custom sink with under counter storage.

If all of the above isn't enough, the extremely low maintenance includes gas and electricity.

The Vermeer is a full-service cooperative with very strong financials and features a full-time doorman/concierge, live-in resident manager, laundry room, bike storage, parking garage, and a spectacular furnished and landscaped common rooftop with WiFi. The hallways and elevators have recently completed a total renovation. Pets are also welcome. Located where Chelsea meets the West Village with a West Side Market located within the building just a short jaunt away is the Meatpacking district, Hudson River Park, Union Square farmer's market, a Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Convenient access to F, M, L, 1, 2 and 3 Subway trains. CitiBike station is just one block away.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
