Property Description for 24 Fifth Ave, 723

A gorgeous renovation with careful attention to both comfort and superior design makes this classic pre-war one bedroom a unique gem. The inviting space begins with a thoughtfully proportioned entryway that opens to the living room, complete with large windows with south east exposure, plus distinct areas for dining, as well as home office workspace. Exposed beams and nine foot ceilings create a feeling of overall spaciousness throughout. Designer sconces, pendant lights, custom cabinetry with additional storage, and four inch wide walnut stained oak flooring accent the handsome home. When you're ready to change the mood or simply adjust the setting, without lifting a finger, a voice activated smart lighting system can dim or brighten the whisper quiet rooms. The stylish open kitchen is designed for both the skilled home chef and the casual diner and features Italian quartz countertops, marble backsplash, high end stainless appliances, plus a separate built-in wine refrigerator. The bedroom is graciously sized and includes a large, custom designed walk-in closet. The luxurious white marble bathroom has a designer vanity, a Toto toilet, rainfall and handheld showerheads, and a soft close medicine cabinet with magnifying mirror. Centrally located on the corner of West Ninth Street, two blocks north of the iconic arch and fountain of Washington Square, the rich design history of this classic building is on full display, from the front exterior bronze canopy, to the carved plaster and marble mosaic panels that line the entrance hallway. There's a 24 hour concierge, live in super, fitness center, bike storage, and newly renovated laundry room. The co-op is pet friendly. Co- purchases, parents buying for children, guarantors are permitted.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
