Two bedroom, two bathroom corner unit apartment with western views overlooking Tudor City Park. As you enter the home there is a partially open chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances and ample cabinet space. The master bedroom off of the living area features an ensuite granite bathroom and a generous walk-in closet. The second bedroom can also be used as an office and contains a murphy bed to maximize the space. The windows have been updated throughout the home and there are electronic shades and three through the wall PTAC units. The apartment can be sold with two basement storage units for an additional $160 added to your monthly maintenance.  Pied-a-terres, co-purchasing, gifting and guarantors are allowed. 25 Tudor City Place is a completely smoke-free building, and welcomes cats but not dogs. Electricity, heat, and water are included in the monthly maintenance. Dating to 1929, this historic Gothic Revival building features an intricately designed facade and a grand lobby with artful stained glass windows and dark wood accents. The very convenient location is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, but set on a tranquil tree-lined street directly across from the privately owned Tudor City Park and Garden. There is a full-time doorman and on-site amenities include a roof deck with stunning Midtown views, a garden, fitness room, laundry room, bike room and common storage. The Midtown office district and vibrant restaurant scene of First and Second Avenues steps away, and nearby Grand Central Station providing rapid transportation anywhere in New York.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
