Property Description for 158-18 Riverside Drive West, 5-L

Sponsor Unit – No Board Approval!!

Residence 5L is a modernly renovated apartment featuring exceptional panoramic Hudson River and George Washington Bridge views from every room. This 2 bedroom / 2 bath home has Western and Southern exposure allowing you to experience unobstructed sunset views over the water every evening. There is even a Bosch washer/dryer in the apartment.

Spacious and turn-key, the apartment has the perfect combination of character and modern design. From the original hardwood floors to the beautiful arched doorways, each element is highlighted by the recently installed recessed lighting.

Enter through the foyer into the expansive living room, which includes a separate dining area, large open kitchen with counter seating, and an exceptional amount of space to accommodate any combination of living room furniture. The best part of this room is easily the breathtaking view of the water and bridge. Not to mention the kitchen has been fully renovated to include stainless steel appliances, new countertop, and a dishwasher and microwave.

Separated from the living room by a dressing area are the two King sized bedrooms that both have Spectacular River Views. The Primary bedroom has both Western and Southern exposure, can comfortably accommodate a King sized bed plus furniture, and has a fully renovated ensuite bath. The second bedroom is just as large and both bedrooms feature a great amount of storage space. The shared 2nd renovated bath is just off of the dressing area.

Situated along the Hudson River, the location is not only idyllic and convenient (moments away from the 1/A/C trains) but the amenities are truly top of the line. There’s a full-time doorman, elevators, gym, common outdoor space, bike storage, additional 24/7 laundry room, storage cages, parking garage, live-in super, and community room. The River Arts has gone green with the installation of Solar Panels and compost bins. With Low Monthly Maintenance and a liberal sublet policy, this truly makes for a beautiful and affordable home or a great investment. Please note, shareholders are permitted to have one dog per apartment (certain breed restrictions).

Washington Heights | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Washington Heights, a hilly neighborhood on Manhattan’s northern tip known for its affordable apartments, preserved pre-war buildings, and Dominican food. Some would argue that it's a hidden gem and one of Manhattan's last neighborhoods that has retained its culture. The large swath of land is bordered by Inwood to the north along Dyckman Street, by Harlem to the South along 155th Street, by the Harlem River to the east, and the Hudson River to the West. It is the highest natural point on the Island of Manhattan.

Despite its high residential density, Washington Heights and Inwood have not seen modern housing construction in more than a decade other than relatively small housing units. Midtown Manhattan, Battery Park, TriBeCa, Chelsea, and Hell’s Kitchen, on the other hand, have seen an increase in building. Most of the high rise construction belongs to hospitals such as New York Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center, and educational institutions like Yeshiva University and Boricua College.

Washington Heights has access to amazing green spaces like The Cloisters, Fort Washington Park, Highbridge Park and Fort Tryon Park. There is no shortage of historical landmarks either. Remember General George Washington set up his camp in Washington Heights during the Revolutionary War. He used the elevated neighborhood to his tactical advantage to spot the Redcoats. As history would have it, his plan didn’t work out so well and the British occupied New York for seven years.
