A top floor, penthouse-like corner unit with an adorable terrace revealing dazzling Manhattan open views from the South, West, and North, even a glimpse of the East River. 15DS is a very quiet, recently renovated Junior 4 one bedroom. Upon entry, a welcoming foyer opens to a spacious living room that beams with brightness from a wall of windows. The open flow of the kitchen and dining spaces basks in light from corner windows and a unique glass door to the terrace, facilitating indoor and outdoor dining with views. The kitchen is renovated with all new appliances, cabinets, and Quartz countertops. Further updates include contemporary radiator covers, newly sanded floors, built-in A/C units and refurbished closets. The 6x8’ corner terrace boasts open views in three directions, providing privacy perfect for reading or enjoying your morning coffee. Have cozy dinners, lounge with a glass of wine watching sunset colors, or just step out to soak in the incredible night lights of the city skyline. The spacious corner bedroom comfortably fits a California-king size bed and still has plenty of room for nightstands, a dresser, and another small workspace. It also features a double door mirrored custom walk-in closet. The large bathroom has a linen closet in addition to generous custom lighting, a triple-mirrored vanity and under the sink cabinetry. Doors to both the bedroom and living room provide easy access from anywhere in the apartment. 2 Tudor City Place is in a historic, quaint, tree-lined neighborhood with two parks, tucked away with no through traffic. It is a full-service, meticulously maintained building with a 24-hour doorman, attentive staff, live-in super, storage, laundry & bike rooms. The parking garage in the building offers discounted monthly rates to the tenants. The building permits 70% financing, pied-à-terre, guarantors, and pets are allowed. Enjoy the turnkey conveniences of a gym across the street, a dry cleaner, a convenience store, a café, a wine shop, and Post Office Annex all right outside your door, with many quality restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The newly built East River Esplanade, a two-block walk, has amazing views of LIC and is great for workouts and runs along the East River. The best of all worlds, Tudor City is a quiet enclave that is also centrally located, providing easy access to the Midtown Tunnel, FDR, Grand Central Terminal, crosstown public transportation and the East River Ferry.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
