Property Description for 151 East 58th Street, PH-50

Penthouse 50 in One Beacon Court

Welcome to the most magnificent uptown condominium residence with the grandest scale of any apartment on 1 floor - over 9,500 square feet - plus incredible 360 views of Central Park and the city skyline, soaring ceilings over 13 feet, and two spectacular 100 foot long terraces. There is nothing like it on the market.

This one-of-a-kind residence occupies the entire 50th floor in One Beacon Court, one of Manhattan's most luxurious condominiums, and was designed and custom built over many years by David Rockwell, one of America's most acclaimed architects. Rockwell is known for drama and award-winning architecture, and that is what you experience the moment you enter this apartment, the only full floor private residence in the building with outdoor space and jaw-dropping views in all four directions that leave you mesmerized.

The apartment sets a new standard that blows away triple mint and features incredible design elements and craftsmanship simply not found in any other apartment in the city. Upon entering from your private elevator vestibule, the only one in the building, you're greeted by ceiling heights approaching 14 feet, and a postcard view of the city. The twin terraces run the entire length of the apartment, each 100 feet, one facing north, the other south.

The grand corner living room has views west and north including a spectacular vista of Central Park, and access to the north terrace. The adjacent bar area is perfectly suited for great entertaining. The onyx powder room is breathtaking. A wide hallway leads to the equally grand formal dining room with majestic views west and south including the iconic Empire State and the Chrysler Buildings. It is crowned with an incredible custom crystal chandelier and a glass temperature controlled and humidified wine display case spanning the entire length of the room. The true restaurant quality eat-in kitchen has 2 magnificent marble islands and a dining area overlooking the city. This wing of the apartment also has a beautifully appointed media room.

The scale of the private primary bedroom suite is incredible. The corner bedroom faces east and north overlooking the East River and the city skyline. There is a home office with access to the terrace, two lavishly appointed bathrooms, a huge dressing room plus numerous walk in closets, and a second large bedroom or additional home office.

The guest bedroom wing has a private entrance from the elevator vestibule and has 3 bedrooms, each with a beautiful ensuite marble bathroom and access to the south terrace. Completing this wing is a laundry room and the apartment's state-of-the-art mechanical and lighting panels.

One Beacon Court was built by Vornado Realty Trust, the developers of 220 Central Park South, and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. It is in the heart of Manhattan, convenient to all that this great city has to offer. It features an enormous private and secure parking area for discreet arrival and departure from the building, and an elegant, open lobby space designed by Jacques Grange. A brand new suite of amenities has just been completed on the 29th floor featuring a fitness center, individual massage and treatment rooms, children's playroom, business center and dining room with catering kitchen.

Penthouse 50 in One Beacon Court is the ultimate uptown condominium residence in Manhattan. This phenomenal home, like any great work of architecture, must be seen to be fully appreciated. Please contact me for further information and to schedule a private and confidential visit - and be prepared to be astounded.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
