Property Description for 410 West 24th Street, 10-E

You're in the heart of all that is Chelsea; only one block from the subway and one block from the High Line!

From the minute you enter you will be greeted with upscale finishes and attention to detail. Look up and take note of the Swarovski Crystal entryway lighting and then turn your attention toward the kitchen. Details here include slab front cabinetry, a deep sink and smart use of space. There is even a hidden spice cabinet directly above/next to the sink and under cabinet touch activated puck lighting. The wine rack can be removed to install a full sized refrigerator. There is plenty of room to store all that you might need to prepare a gourmet meal. As you enter the living room, you will notice that the original hardwood floors have been refinished with great precision. All base moldings have been upgraded and all cable wiring is run in the walls to complete a more refined overall appearance. The main entry door, all door jambs, the window sill & radiator have been stripped back to their original zinc finishes. Light switches have been installed outside each of the spacious closets to add to the conveniences incorporated into the renovation. Extra electrical outlets and cable connection boxes give you the freedom to place furniture in a variety of configurations Your East-facing views are breathtaking. You won't be disappointed when looking out at the Empire State Building and the newest jewel in the NYC skyline One Vanderbilt. During the renovation, the a/c unit was installed through the wall so as not to obstruct your views. The Murphy bed is king sized and incorporates a set of adjustable bookshelves into its presentation. With the bed in the upright position, your living area is an amazing 13'5" x 18'9" living/dining room! Plenty of room to entertain guests and at the end of your evening, draw down the bed, lower your custom shades and let the City lull you to sleep.

Last but not least, check out the bathroom. Carrera marble, and a singular mauve glass tile accent stripe surround the shower. The shower floor is tiled in clear glass chip tile. A handheld shower arm and niche for shampoo & soap have been added for your convenience. Behind the door is additional custom designed storage and a full length mirror.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
