Property Description

With the feel of a European guesthouse, Penthouse East is located on the top floor facing East and South overlooking a picturesque, tree-lined street. This elegant suite is beautifully appointed with herringbone oak floors, exposed brick gas fireplace and charming, wood-framed windows throughout the sun-filled living and sleeping areas.

Equally amenable to business or pleasure, the chic designer furnishings include a writing desk by the window to accommodate live/work opportunities, a cozy couch to curl up on and watch your favorite tv show and a chic dry bar to top off the day with a tasty libation.

Enjoy a premium kitchenette with custom cabinetry, quartzite counters, Beko range, and refrigerator and dishwasher by Bosch. The spa-like bathroom nods to the building's historic origins with vintage-style details, a deep Duravit soaking tub and Kohler fixtures.

A state-of-the-art video intercom system allows you to welcome your guests when in-residence or anywhere in the world via an app on your smart phone. Central air and a Whirlpool washer-dryer add comfort and convenience to this charming top-floor unit.

Amenity Package: There is daily room service available for breakfast (in bed), brunch, lunch and dinner from The Orchard Townhouse on the ground floor, a brasserie run by a team of restauranteurs who own the hottest downtown restaurants with a focus on seasonal fare, and farm to table at center stage. Whether you choose to enjoy the private garden dining courtyard or order a drink from the bar, the restaurant has an open invitation for its residents upstairs.

This handsome brick townhouse is located in vibrant West Chelsea, surrounded by the city's best galleries, dining, nightlife and shopping. Stroll the iconic High Line across the street, or head to Hudson River Park to enjoy 500 acres of waterfront outdoor space and recreation. Several of the city's tech and media headquarters are within easy reach, and both Chelsea Market and Hudson Yards are close by. Transportation is effortless with 1, A/C/E and L trains and CitiBike stations nearby.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
