This is your chance to own a newly constructed, luxury, three bedroom condo with your very own deeded parking space and separate private storage room, right in the heart of iconic DUMBO! As this is the first resale unit in this building, you will also avoid expensive transfer taxes with this purchase. Apartment 5B is part of 98 Front Street, a stunning, award-winning, brand new, one of a kind, full-service condominium that includes todays must have: “extra green space” according to the New York Times. 98 Front offers “a multitude of cantilevers to provide more outdoor terraces and windows for apartments.” 98 Front Street is a LEED-certified building, offering a 24-hour concierge, beautifully appointed lobby, residents' lounge, children's playroom, indoor fitness club, salt water pool, and spa with steam room. There is a 7,000 sq ft landscaped roof deck with extraordinary 360-degree views of the city, areas for exercise, lounging, dining, and grilling. The unit itself is a sprawling, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom loft with private outdoor space, exceptional finishes and sophistication. Natural light pours in through the insulated 8’8” sound-resistant, soaring windows by ALUMIL which are quadruple-paned for noise insulation. The 5” wide plank white oak flooring throughout, along with polished concrete high ceilings, further illuminate the space in this quintessential DUMBO loft. The open living, dining, and kitchen areas are seamlessly integrated to create an airy feel, and the chef’s kitchen is highlighted by a clean, organic design that features blonde wood cabinetry, Corian countertops, and top-of-the-line Bosch appliances.   In the en-suite primary bedroom, enjoy a sun-flooded room with excellent closet space and a large, spa-like bathroom with an oversized, glass-enclosed shower. The fixtures in this tranquil en-suite bath are on full display and feature a white Corian double sink with brushed nickel fixtures and NuHeat radiant heated tile flooring. The second bedroom is also generously sized and highlighted with a large closet and floor-to-ceiling windows. The third bedroom, which features floor-to-ceiling windows, provides the flexibility to use as either a bedroom or a beautiful home office. Both rooms are south-facing, immersed in natural light, and face the building's courtyard, with a reflecting pool below. The second full bath exhibits the same high-end quality finishes as the primary bath and includes a deep soaking tub.   Rounding out this modern home is an in-unit Bosch W/D, central A/C, and latch keyless smart door locks and Butterfly MX smart intercoms for a seamless living experience.   Conveniently located near the A/C and F train lines, as well as the ferry in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Celebrated for its architecture, DUMBO features charming Belgian block streets, with incredible waterfront views, Jane's Carousel, highly rated restaurants, boutiques, renowned art galleries and theatre a stones throw away. Showing by appointment only.

Dumbo | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

DUMBO, which is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, used to be a lively industrial and manufacturing zone, full of large factories and warehouses. These buildings have now been converted into expansive lofts, theaters, galleries, and office spaces for start-up companies. These larger residential spaces are attractive to families and creative artists and writers who need space to dream and create.

DUMBO was named in 1978 as a sort of reverse marketing ploy to try to keep people from swarming into the area, attracted by the quaint tree-lined streets, elegant historic brownstones, large lofts, and views of Lower Manhattan. It was felt that this influx of people would change the nature of the neighborhood. It was hoped that by giving the area a ridiculous name, nobody would want to live there.

Many of the neighborhood’s bars, hotels, and restaurants capitalize on the stunning waterfront views and the Manhattan skyline in the background. Interesting and fun cultural events are held under and around the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges that connect DUMBO to Manhattan. One of these is the annual Oktoberfest.

With beautiful vignettes of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges being framed around every corner, DUMBO provides residents and tourists with charming, and often surprising, views. Because the neighborhood is eminently walkable and filled with unique shops, it feels like a small town on the edge of a major urban waterfront. Once people move to DUMBO, they tend to stay and become involved in the community.
