Open House By Appointment Only, 9/24 Saturday, 12-2pm, and 9/25 Sunday, 12-2pm. Are you looking for a stunning duplex apartment with a PRIVATE Garden? In the heart of the East Village, near Soho, this larger than average 1790 sq. ft 2-bedroom, 2.5 baths duplex condo is peaceful and quiet. This home is superior in exterior and interior space compared to others in the neighborhood. The spacious 1,000 square foot garden is fully landscaped with river birch trees and a fire pit. It’s perfect for social gatherings. Enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds and the evening light around the fire pit with friends and family. You can enter the apartment without an elevator the same as a private home. The loft-like first floor has floor to ceiling windows leading to the garden, with a spacious living and dining area, two closets and a half bath. A European chef’s kitchen has been remodeled by a chef, with a Wolf gas stove top and oven, Bosch dishwasher, Wolf Microwave, Subzero refrigerator and Subzero refrigerated drawers for extra cold storage. The kitchen is a dream for anyone who enjoys cooking and entertaining. Upon entering, your eyes are drawn immediately to the open floor plan, solid white oak floors and windows to the garden. A dramatic spiral lighted staircase leads you to the second floor. The upstairs hallway has expansive wall space with modern lighting for displaying art and photography. A new stackable washer and dryer is located in a closet adjacent hallway for convenience. Both bedrooms have private entrances to their shared large balcony overlooking the garden, adding another 200 sq feet of living space for more privacy, quiet time and entertaining. The primary bedroom is light and airy with space for a king size bed and additional furniture. The beautiful appointed ensuite bath has double sinks, walk-in shower with steam, a jacuzzi soaking tub and heated towel rack. The radiant heated floors bring added comfort when the temperature drops. The second bedroom has ample space for a queen size bed plus a well lite California closet system. The second bath has a large deep bathtub with modern shower, Italian designer tile and a beautiful, mirrored vanity with light and electric plugs within. It's easy to see the care and attention to detail throughout the apartment. 62 East First Street is a boutique condo, professionally managed and tucked in the heart of NYC’s East Village with fabulous new and old restaurants, bars, coffee shops, art galleries, bookstores and music. With only 10 units, owners are part of an exclusive community. The building is pet friendly, with a shared roof deck. Whole Foods and Equinox are 2 blocks away along with the New Museum of Contemporary Art, a short walk to NYU and NYU law school. The entrance to the F line is conveniently located across the street by the park, plus B/D/M 6 and J/Z lines are easily accessible. For added safety, the building has a new front security system with entry cameras and 24-hour virtual door manager. There’s also a keyed package room for the safety of your package deliveries.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
