Property Description for 30 West 72nd Street, A

Large rent stabilized ground floor studio facing West 72nd Street with a 21 × 15 main room with hardwood floors, large kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and micro, ceramic tile floors and 2 large closets. The full bathroom a pre-war style tub, nice sink/vanity and checkerboard floors.

The apartment is in a former mansion a few hundred feet from Central Park and the B/C trains, m72, all the great shopping along West 72nd, Amsterdam, Columbus and Broadway, and 3 minutes to the 1/2/3 trains as well.

The nearest laundromat is a block away, and the building’s superintendent lives down the block. The apartment is a few steps down from street level, there are wroughtiron bars on the windows, and there is currently scaffolding over the entrance from facade repairs at the building next door, so not particularly bright.

Quick Profile

Centered, in name and location, around the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Square’s history is heavily steeped in strong African American and Afro-Caribbean roots. Iconic jazz pianist, Thelonious Monk, is counted among its many former artistic and professional denizens.

The neighborhood is beloved for its amazing shopping, its distinguished art scene, and phenomenal restaurants--and don’t forget Central Park. From Lincoln Square, one is at the gateway to virtually everything New York City has to offer, either in your backyard or via excellent subway access.

With its beautiful pre-war architecture surrounded by some of NYC’s premier skyscrapers, Lincoln Square has become a safe, much sought after neighborhood. If you like living in the action, there are few places in the world that can rival Lincoln Square.
