Property Description for 27 Jefferson Ave, 2

Finally, a stylish condo in a rebuilt townhouse on a quiet block with private outdoor space and low carrying costs. Bordering Clinton Hill, this parlor floor two-bedroom, two-bath home includes a large roof deck. And, you get that new condo feel without having to pay the transfer taxes. Up the stoop and into a bright and airy living area with high ceilings, this home would be great for entertaining. The open kitchen is fantastic containing more space than most need. It is well appointed with Thermador appliances, custom cabinets topped with Caesarstone, and a beautiful marble backsplash. The warm walnut cabinets are complimented by the pristine oak floors. If you like to spend time in the kitchen then this is the one. The primary bedroom is huge, offering additional space for a desk in front of an oversized window. A dressing room connects through to the bedroom's bathroom with a generous glass-enclosed shower. Next door, the second bedroom could easily accommodate two twin size beds. Adjacent is another full bathroom with a deep soaking tub. There is an in-unit washer and the basement has big storage cages for each unit. Techie gizmos include: Sonos speakers, Nest thermostat for the HVAC, keypad entry, and a smartphone managed doorbell. And don’t forget about this unit’s private rooftop where you can enjoy evenings with full views across Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline in the distance. Wired for Verizon Fios. This pet-friendly condominium has four units in total. It is located just around the corner from the “C” train at Franklin Ave. and three blocks from the “A” at Nostrand Ave. Shopping locally couldn’t be easier since it is surrounded by great restaurants, shops and cafes. This is the first block of Jefferson Avenue so it doesn’t get a lot of traffic. Two beautiful historic buildings anchor the corner; one of them housing the Brooklyn Waldorf School.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
