Property Description for 480 Park Ave, 14-E

Triple Mint Classic 6 on Park Ave. Oversized and unique high floor apartment - nearly 3000 square feet which is significantly larger than the standard E-line layout at 480 Park Avenue. Every room is exceptionally large including the stunning 27-foot entry gallery with extensive custom millwork built-ins.

Absolutely no expense was spared in this total renovation. Everything is new, from the plumbing, electrical wiring, central air conditioning and soundproof single lane Tilt & Turn windows, but with careful restoration of many beautiful pre-war details. This apartment faces south from the main rooms and has western and northern exposures as well.

The living room boasts a wood burning fireplace with original 1929 Limestone mantle, nearly 10-foot ceilings, flawless oak herringbone floors, and a smart open layout. The chefs kitchen is appointed with honed Calcutta Gold marble and all top-end, exterior-venting appliances including LaCanche imported French range and stand-alone refrigerator and freezer. The graciously sized primary suite includes a superbly designed dressing room and windowed bath complete with soaking tub, glass shower, double vanities. There is also a vented washer/dryer in the unit.

This unit has possibly the lowest monthly charges for any Park Ave property of its kind, and electricity is also included in the posted carrying costs.

This quiet home is accessed from a fully redone Art Deco landing, with just 2 other apartments on the floor. The apartment has Sonos in-ceiling speakers and full Lutron lighting.

Luxury Emery Roth building constructed in 1929 boasts one of citys grandest lobbies, exquisite roof garden, and fitness center. An enormous storage space is provided by the building. Pied-a-terres, pets and foreign buyers permitted.

Center of the world location is moments from Central Park, the Plaza Hotel, top restaurants, museums and shopping on Madison and Fifth.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
