Property Description for 211 East 13th Street, 3-I

Residence 3I is a grand one bedroom, one and half bathroom residence with a separate windowed home office at The Jefferson Condominium. Conveniently located on a quiet tree-lined village block at 211 East 13th Street, between Second and Third Avenues, the building is just moments from the conveniences of Union Square. Spanning over 1,100 square feet with 9'2" ceiling heights, the layout of this loft-like home lends itself well to be converted into a two bedroom, two bathroom residence.

The massive great room was designed to maximize natural light featuring oversized eastern, northern, and western facing windows that look out over quiet private gardens. The open chef's Kitchen features custom Eggersmann natural oak cabinetry, white Corian countertops with integral sink, tiled backsplash, stainless steel fixtures and a natural oak paneled ceiling with recessed lighting. Appliances include Sub-Zero 36” refrigerator and wine refrigerator, Wolf gas range and microwave oven, stainless steel Broan hood, and Bosch dishwasher.

The large bedroom faces north overlooking the private gardens, and features a sizable walk-in closet. Its en-suite bathroom has an oversized Corian soaking tub, honed Basaltina stone walls and heated flooring, a Corian counter with integral sink, Lefroy Brooks fixtures, a recessed medicine cabinet, and a custom reclaimed wood vanity inset with a steel stain-nickel finished frame.

At the opposite end from the main bedroom, a massive home office boasts an eastern facing window that overlooks the private garden of an adjacent building. Right off of the entry foyer is a powder room with a reclaimed wood feature wall, a custom vanity, and tasteful white tile flooring. (The home office could likely be closed off to create a second bedroom and the powder room converted into a full bathroom as shown in the alternative floor plan.)

Other features throughout this lovely home include Somfy shade automation system, wide-plank oak flooring, Asko washer and Bosch dryer and central HVAC. A storage locker in the basement is also available for sale.

The Jefferson is a luxury new development condominium conveniently situated at the nexus of Greenwich Village, East Village and Gramercy Park. The building, on the former site of the famous vaudeville era Jefferson Theater, showcases a dramatic design by award-winning BKSK Architects that pays homage to the location’s storied past. Spectacular amenities include a 24-hour doorman and live-in resident manager, state-of-the-art fitness center, residents’ lounge and a fully furnished and landscaped rooftop with outdoor shower, barbecue grill, pergola and panoramic city views. The eco-friendly building received LEED Gold certification, a rare achievement as a result of its “green” initiatives.

A storage locker can also be purchased for an additional cost.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
