Inspired by the rawness and rustication of stone and brickwork and the contrast between old and new, the layering of history are all important dimensions of the design. Throughout this offering, one sees the old counterpoised with the new, the rustic with the smooth, lines with curves, and the organic with the rational. Aged materials and acquired patina, change, and accident.

Now a three-unit Greek Revival designed structure in Flemish bond red brick and trimmed in a brownstone, the original building was an old dental factory with a carriage house. The building was gutted to its original shell which was then remade into this one-of-a-kind studio. Opportunely situated 225 East 21st Street is a particularly unique offering.

This eight hundred and fifty square foot space arrangement presents sundry possibilities in terms of functionality and design. Our space is located less than a block from Gramercy Park and the surrounding restaurant districts including Flatiron and Nomad. In paying a visit you will take in these undeniably distinct details and enchanting highlights: 19th-century storefront and windows, exposed whitewashed brick walls, impressive ceiling height, 4-foot by 8-foot mirrored acrylic sheet flooring, plenty of alluring storage and appeal, plus a Southern outlook that ensures well balanced and pleasing light from dawn till dusk. We have three large custom-designed acid-etched tempered tabletop desks in the office that are fashioned from salvaged materials and can accommodate 6 to 12 workstations plus a conference table. And although we welcome various user groups, there is access to extensive materials libraries for architects and interior designers. Additionally, there is a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and en suite bathroom with a shower.

This unique lab loft adaptable space will certainly be a likable option in a late 18th-century building near Gramercy Park. As intended, architecturally it says things that have never been said before in a timeless way.

Flexible and adaptable uses of space and terms will be taken into consideration and pets are plausible on a case by case bases.
