Property Description for 689 Quincy Street, 4-R

Welcome to 689 Quincy Street; a new, seductively designed eight-residence condominium nestled peacefully aside Quincy Street's brownstones and tranquil greenery. Each residence exudes an intentionally stylized, neoteric approach to modern day Brooklyn living.

Residence 4R is a well-proportioned two-bedroom, two-bathroom optimally laid out with the consumer in mind. A calculated, collaborative effort between a seamless blend of unique textures and styles, paired with tasteful neutrality works harmoniously to implement an ideal composition. Upon entry, your attention is drawn to the solid oak floors, detailed with elements inherently natural to the species of wood. The kitchen achieves a notable sense of intention, implemented through a collection of complimentary tones and materials. The lower-level cabinetry is comprised of a titanium-white tone accented by matte black cabinet pulls with white granite counters laid atop, pairing nicely with a white, beveled subway-tile backsplash. Mounted above is a combination of upper wooden cabinetry with transparent glass doors and wooden floating shelves for added aesthetic. Directly adjacent, dark, cool-grey, floor-ceiling cabinetry comprised of an assortment of compartments of alternating size completely covers the walls accenting the more neutral tones. The kitchen is complete with a top-of-the-line Frigidaire stainless-steel appliance package.

The living room is substantial in size, contributing to an uninterrupted transition between living and dining space. South facing windows illuminate the room and bridge the interior with elements of the outdoors.

Both bedrooms face south providing optimal light and air. The primary bedroom on the farthest end of the residence is equipped with a large en-suite bathroom and ample closet space. The en-suite bathroom takes on a contemporary approach. Vertical stone tiles lay flawlessly along the upper perimeter walls, separated from the contrasting lower square stone by a fine gold accent strip. A wooden vanity accented with matte black metal detailing brings forward a subtle mid-century feel, while a tasteful combination of matching gold, and black hardware provide a layer of elevation.

The second bathroom is derived of similar style with a brighter palette implemented by a white vanity and gold hardware. Unlike the primary bathroom, the second bathroom has a standing shower adorned with precise, floor-to-ceiling chevron tiling.

689 Quincy Street is located by an assortment of neighborhood favorites including L'Antagoniste, Natural Blend, Mama Fox, Grandchamps, Chez Oskar, LunAtico, Saraghina, Peaches, Brooklyn Beso, Tepache, Santa Panza, Brooklyn Whiskers Bakery, The Wilky, Turtles All The Way Down, The Buren, Blink Fitness, Fat Doughnut, and many more. Access to public transportation includes the Kosciuszko Street J Train, transfer to the Myrtle Avenue M train one stop away.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
