Property Description for 1255 Bushwick Ave, 7-A

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect combination of trendy and timeless, pre-war architecture and modern design, city views and a private refuge – in other words, the ultimate Brooklyn home – your moment has arrived AND it comes with deeded parking!! Unit 7A is the crème de la crème of Bushwick living, and that’s not just because it’s the penthouse. This 2-bed/2-bath top floor haven is bathed in natural light from uninterrupted Southern exposure. Oversized windows in both bedrooms and a (nearly) full wall of windows in the living area all open to a sprawling private terrace that runs the entire length of the apartment. That terrace has been decked out by its current owners with an awning, lighting, and even a jacuzzi, which means the moment you move in, you can kick back and relax. Enjoy the steeples of Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline in the distance as the sunset paints the sky, entertain friends and family for a summer party, or watch holiday fireworks sparkle and stun. The awe doesn’t stop there! The open kitchenette features Lagos quartz countertops and a breakfast bar with a backsplash of white subway tile, custom double square cabinetry, Fisher & Paykel and Bosch stainless steel appliances, and a white porcelain farm-style sink. Both full bathrooms, one of which is en-suite, always feel bright and fresh thanks to elegant wall tile, Cementine black and white flooring, Aquabrass fixtures, reclaimed wood vanity, and the relaxing Duravit deep soaking tub. Every detail of this apartment has been considered and chosen with an eye to convenience, comfort, and style, from the sleek track lighting and white oak hardwood floors to the ample closet space, central heat/air, and in-unit washer/dryer. Did we mention there’s even a rare, coveted parking garage spot deed included in the price? Built in 2018 in beautiful unity with the facade of a converted church from 1902, 1255 Bushwick Avenue is very much the thoughtfully and impeccably designed condominium its outside suggests. With just 32 units over 7 stories, you get all the quiet and privacy of a boutique building but with the security of a virtual doorman as well as secure package and bike rooms (with hooks!). Additional features include a shared furnished courtyard (with tables, chairs, and barbecue grills) and a common roof deck. All of this is available mere blocks from the J/Z and L trains and in the heart of all that’s happening in Brooklyn. You’ll have an exclusive sanctum surrounded by Bushwick’s trendiest restaurants and bars, most exciting nightlife, and most peaceful parks. What are you waiting for?

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
