Property Description for 42-60 Crescent Street, 7-A

A voluminous three-bedroom, two-bath corner apartment in an amenity filled condominium, in the heart of Hunters Point, moments from Queensboro Plaza. This is one of the best values in one of the tightest markets in NYC history, which still enjoys a 421-a tax abatement through June 30, 2032 As soon as you enter this 7th floor corner home, you’ll come upon the homes oversized chefs kitchen with a stainless steel appliance package from Whirlpool, inclusive of fully vented to the outside 5 burner cooktop with a built-in oven. The kitchen has red oak double-height cabinets, as well as a white quartz stone island and countertops. The kitchen also has a stainless steel double sink with spring coiled pot filler. The open kitchen flows seamlessly into the living room/dining area which is convenient for entertaining and staying immersed in company without missing out on the action. A wall of natural brick is featured on the south wall of the living room. Ceilings throughout the home are quite high reaching in some points over 9 feet in height. As you proceed through the rest of the home down the central hallway, you’ll find the homes laundry closet which is not your typical narrow closet, it is reminiscent of a mini-laundry room which features an LG washer/dryer. Adjacent to the laundry closet is one of the homes full baths featuring spa-style Kohler deep soaking tub and shower, Grohe fixtures and a Vigo sink with tiger wood vanity. Opposite this full bath are the two adjacent bedrooms which are large enough for full sized or bunk-beds, and also enjoy beautiful natural light. Onward to the corner primary sweet which has five large windows with double exposures, A+ natural light, a walk-in closet and a full bath walk-in shower with a spa-like rain shower. Built in 2016 the Factory House is an excellent example of new build that captures Long Island City’s rich industrial history that is displayed throughout the 37 residence building, spread over 10 floors. The buildings lobby features wooden ceilings joists, brick walls and a mural by award winning artist James Goldcrown. The Factory House has a full-time super, playroom, fitness center, roof deck, as well as library lounge and a billiards room. On-site parking, personal storage and bicycle storage are subject to availability. The N,W,R,E,M,G,7 trains are just a few blocks away as are some of the neighborhoods best eateries from Luzzo’s, to M. Wells Steakhouse, as well as Trader Joes which is a short walk to Court Square.

Long Island City | Queens

Quick Profile

Long Island City, the name does sound a little far away, like it requires a lengthy drive to get to. Think, again. Long Island City, also known as LIC, is nestled in the western corner of Queens along the East River. Midtown Manhattan is closer to Long Island City than it is to downtown Manhattan.

LIC is bordered by Sunnyside to the east, the East River to the west, Astoria to the north, and Newton Creek which separates Queens from Greenpoint Brooklyn to the south.

A once-shabby manufacturing epicenter, the neighborhood is a mix of industrial, commercial and residential. In recent years it’s seen a rise in some seriously cool factors. Populated by young professionals, multi-ethnic immigrants, and hipsters, LIC has a happening nightlife scene, fantastic restaurants (some of them Michelin starred), art museums and galleries. Much of the waterfront access has been redeveloped into sustainable public green spaces with modern design.

Although much of the industrial / manufacturing companies have since left LIC, many still reside there. They tend to co-exist with new residential building development the same way they do in other neighborhoods like Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

Office building developers and business tenants play a vital role in LIC too. It’s considered New York City’s fourth central business district next to Midtown, downtown Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn.

As you traverse the streets of LIC, you’ll notice the change from block to block. Industrial warehouses on one block, a bustling Main Street, followed by a park block with sleek luxury high-rise buildings. It’s all part of the LIC vibe.

For a small neighborhood, the transportation links are excellent. For starters, you just can’t beat living one subway stop from Manhattan (7 train). Other train lines include E, M, R, N, Q, and the G lines. There are also less conventional methods of transportation like the NYC Ferry, which offers three ferry landings. There is no shortage of CitiBike’s in LIC either. Many folks commute to work by way of cycling over the Queensboro Bridge.
