Property Description for 200 East 27th Street, 5-E

200 East 27th St. #5E is a pristine, recently renovated, triple mint, alcove studio that is truly move-in ready.

With hardwood floors throughout and a floor plan offering ample room for living and dining, a sense of comfort and space is attained. The entry foyer welcomes you with two sizable closets and leading to a newly renovated kitchen.

The kitchen is complete with custom wood cabinetry including a bonus spice rack and pantry. Marble counters and backsplash surround the Franke sink & faucet by Grohe. Cooking and cleaning is made enjoyable with new appliances, including a Bosch dishwasher, Liebherr refrigerator, Bertazonni range & microwave. 5E is the size of many one bedrooms and can hold plenty of furniture for comfortable entertaining. An alcove sleeping area is situated in a way that makes converting to a 1 bedroom possible, but also, attractively not necessary.

The dressing room boasts storage and privacy with another custom closet and room for a dressing table or even a dresser. Completely clad in floor to ceiling marble the designer bath is in mint condition. A large marble walk-in shower is a special feature with a glass shower door. Enhancing the luxurious bath is a custom quartz banjo counter around the sink and continuing behind the Toto toilet. Three overhead lights were added to fully capture the soft beauty.

A beautiful and well-kept coop, The Victoria House's amenities include a 24-hr doorman, live-in super, a landscaped roof deck with incredibly expansive views, newly renovated fitness center, garage, bike room, and laundry. Pet friendly. Pre-wired for Verizon Fios. Just blocks from tremendous transportation options, multiple groceries nearby and fantastic restaurants and bars. Sublet policy with board approval, 3 out of 5 years. Co-purchasing case by case and no flip-tax. There is a current capital assessment of an additional $55.30/month.

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
