Property Description for 124 East 13th Street, 4

Deal Fell Through! Showings begin again at an Open House by Appointment Only on Sunday, April 24th From 1-2:30 Just steps from Union Square there is an intimate, sleek building on 13th Street called The Rose Condominium. Only three owners for seven floors and now the fourth floor is available for its first resale. As the elevator opens you enter into a beautiful and functional entryway complete with a custom-made oak and steel DiResta cantilever bench. The ceiling, an ode to Frank Loyd Wright, is of raw steel slats and yellow glass closets allow for ample storage of coats and shoes. The reclaimed oak is matched to the floor providing robust entry space flooring before transitioning to the polished hardwood that flows through the rest of the apartment. The entryway can be partly closed off by a DiResta steel sliding door. This and other elements of the home are all designed by Jimmy Diresta of HGTV. As you enter the loft you are greeted by a large open chef's kitchen with corian and glass which is designed to provide reflective light from the east facing lobby windows. Add to this plenty of counter space, a sub zero refrigerator and a hidden custom pantry. The oversized main room has massive windows, almost eleven foot ceilings, and recessed lighting. This great room is large enough for a dining area, living area, and a separate sitting area outside the kitchen to hang and talk to the chef. The separate wing of the house is for sleeping and working. As you walk down the hall you are struck by a custom designed lighted unit that marries the entryway design element with recycled oak and back lit with an orange accent. The first room off the hallway has a large window that beautifully infuses light into the room. This area is now being used as a bedroom but is also a great office, zoom room or gym. There is a fully renovated bathroom outside this room and a walk-in laundry room with your own brand new water heater. At the end of the hall are two oversized bedrooms. To the east is the secondary bedroom with south and east exposures for the sun to stream in. The primary bedroom has an outfitted walk in closet and en suite fully renovated bath. Add to this your private terrace facing a courtyard for coffee or quiet reflection at the end of the day. This home has central air throughout and is move in ready. Because there are only two other owners for the seven floor building they do not require a board application at this time. The buildings financials are strong and monthlies are low. The neighborhood just cannot be beat. The Farmers Market is in eye shot and that includes the Union Square subway hub to go anywhere in New York City. Add to this Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and the West Side Market all within a block. Fabulous restaurants, movies galore, and shopping all right in the neighborhood. PLEASE WATCH THE RECORDED VIDEO TOUR FOR YOUR FIRST LOOK AT THIS FANTASTIC HOME.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
