Property Description for 334 Humboldt Street, 1

DISCLOSURE: Photos are of the neighboring building and are a very similar representation of 334 Humboldt once the building renovation is completed. 334 Humboldt Street is still in the process of being renovated, and according to the owner will be readily available for May 1st move-in. I will be showing by appointment prior to completion of renovation

Welcome to 334 Humboldt Street; a scrupulously re-imagined, boutique building comprised of three (3) meticulously renovated, well-appointed residences. Resting on the corner of Humboldt Street and Ainslie Street, the building boasts a gorgeous white brick fa ade, complimented by matte-black, arched windows and a matte-black cornice harmonizing Brooklyn charm and modern elements for tasteful composition. Each residence comes with custom built-in/walk-in closets and an in-unit W/D.

Residence #1 is a well-proportioned one-bedroom (1BR), two-bathroom (2BA) duplex with a private, tiled yard. Residence #1 was generously designed with thoughtful intention. The original parquet flooring was completely redone and brought to life with a mocha finish, bringing a sense of contrast and warmth throughout. A unique collaboration of tasteful fixtures paired with a seamless blend of textures and styles create a picturesque redefinition of modern living.

The kitchen, outfitted with white and black checkered tile with light-grey veining incorporates another layer of depth, paired with lightly veined white & grey subway tile and countertops overlooking the private yard. White shaker cabinets outline this highly functional space and are complimented by chic, gold cabinet pulls. The kitchen comes equipped with stainless steel appliances comprised of both Bosch & Frigidaire including 5-burner gas stove, refrigerator with an ice maker and water source, microwave, and a dishwasher.

The bedroom is of grand size and comes equipped with two custom-built closets for optimal storage.

The first bathroom comes with contrasting black and white design and is outfitted with a deep soaking tub and sliding glass door and paired nicely with black fixtures and a combination of white tiling.

The lower level of this unique residence is truly one-of-a-kind. This expansive space includes a half-kitchen outfitted with gorgeous marble countertops and backsplash, and paired nicely with grey cabinetry and gold fixtures. The second kitchen is thoughtfully placed near the private yard entrance for a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. The lower level also comes equipped with a second full bathroom comprised of grey subway tile, a matching vanity and and bold, gold fixtures & hardware. Grey tiling lays nicely throughout the lower level, and is accented by original brick walls and sliding barn-door closets. An in-unit W/D can be found on this level as well.

Entry to the private yard can be accessed through the lower level passed the kitchen. The entire yard is tastefully tiled and encompassed by a tall, pitch-black fence for optimal privacy.

East Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

East Williamsburg is a mixed industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn, with many working factories that make everything from beer and wontons to clothing and concrete. You are likely to hear screeching, pounding and the deep thump of industrial machinery throughout the day. East Williamsburg has become a haven for artists and musicians of every description, who are attracted to the large open loft spaces of the converted industrial buildings. The area has attracted a younger crowd of 20- and 30-somethings that are drawn by affordable rents and a generally lower cost of living.

There is a rich history of immigrants from Puerto Rico and Italy, and oddly enough, they chose to settle on opposite ends of Graham Avenue, with the Italians on the north and the Puerto Ricans on the south.

Housing in the area consists of mid-rise apartment buildings, row houses, and public housing complexes. There are also smaller multi-family apartment buildings available. Lofts are becoming more prevalent as the older, abandoned factory buildings come up for sale and are converted into residential properties.

East Williamsburgfairly pulses with a creative vibe. There are unique shopping venues, numerous tiny coffee shops, interesting restaurants, and cafes, along with food trucks that frequent the area. The grocery stores are affordable and carry a wide variety of goods that appeal to the eclectic tastes of the neighborhood residents.

There is a vibrant bar scene, where you will find mostly local residents imbibing, so it is easy to make friends among your neighbors if you stop in frequently at your favorite watering hole. There are many interesting shops, bars and restaurants tucked in amongst the warehouses and factories. Many do not invest in elaborate signage, so it can be difficult to find some of the best spots. Keep an eye out for hand-painted signs on the sides of buildings with arrows pointing to nondescript, nearly invisible entrances.

In this new age of skyward glass towers, we sometimes forget about the older, more noble buildings that dot our urban landscape.  The 1930s was a defining decade for the future of the modern-day skyscraper and many of these buildings, both residential and commercial, remain iconic to this day.  The Majestic, whose art deco-styled tower...
