Property Description for 47 Walker Street, 2-B

Located in the heart of the Tribeca gallery district, this gut renovated, 1,830 square foot loft, couples the industrial charm of exposed brick, steel columns and wood beams with high-end, modern living. The stunning 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment is currently setup as a two bedroom, however, the third bedroom can easily be added back while maintaining a large living area and dining space.

Beautiful built-in cabinetry surrounds an open chef's kitchen wrapped with Brazilian quartzite countertops. This centerpiece for entertainment is loaded with high end appliances including a Viking oven, 5-burner Wolfe stove and paneled warming drawer, refrigerator and dishwasher.

The primary bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment making it a peaceful retreat from the city noise. Walk through custom dual closets to reach a brand new ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, radiant heated floors, a cast iron soaking tub and a separate rain shower. An additional bedroom/office is located on the opposite side of apartment to maximize privacy.

Additional amenities include a large laundry room with an additional sink and a vented washer and dryer. Soaring 13 foot ceilings, 6 inch white oak floors, multi-zoned central air conditioning, custom Lutron lighting and motorized shades makes this the perfect place to call home.

Conveniently located close to the N/R/W/Q, 1/2/3, A/C/E and J/Z trains in one of Manhattan's most exciting and desirable neighborhoods, this flexible pet-friendly co-op has solid financials, unbelievably low maintenance, and allows co-purchasing, gifting and guarantors.

Please note the entrance of the apartment is located up one flight of semi-private stairs as the building's elevator does not service this level. Broker owned

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
