Property Description for 509 Pacific Street, 5-A

509 Pacific Street #5A is a sprawling, 1900sf, lofty home with four generously sized bedrooms, three full bathrooms and open views from each of six absolutely enormous windows. It has room to live, work and grow, and you don't have to wait for occupancy.

This very special condominium home is about space, volume and massive proportions. The 32' long great room has 10' ceilings and a massive, 10' tall sound-insulated window facing northeast over the glass balcony and showcasing Brooklyn's iconic townhouses and downtown skyline. An 8' east-facing picture window fills the room with all-day light. Pictures just don't do this space justice.

The custom open kitchen with massive island sits at the end of the great room, featuring an integrated, all-Miele appliance package and cabinets of custom, hand-picked walnut wood, Calacatta stone countertops and gorgeous 7" white oak flooring.

Each of the four bedrooms boast 13' ceilings and an 8' tall window with amazing southern light and enchanting sky and rooftop views. The spacious master suite opens with a barn door to a dressing area and Calacatta marble, walnut and glass bathroom with radiant-heat floors and HansGrohe fixtures. Two more full bathrooms with gorgeous tile and walnut finishes offer flexibility of living. Plentiful closet space is enhanced by a bonus pantry/linen closet in the hallway as well as a nicely sized, dedicated utility/laundry room with an LG washer and vented gas dryer. Another highlight to this ultimately livable home is the Nest-controlled, 4-zone ducted central air conditioning system.

The Hendrik is a boutique condominium in the heart of Boerum Hill. It has a 24-hour doorman with an impressive, double-height lobby, a parking garage with availability, a lovely roof terrace and more. A block from Atlantic Barclays station, this condominium is a stone's throw from Whole Foods and Target and a short stroll to the eclectic mom and pop retail and eateries of brownstone Brooklyn. It's adjacent to Park Slope, Cobble Hill and Downtown Brooklyn, and 15 minutes by subway to Manhattan. 509 Pacific Street #5A is perfectly poised to become your next, super-sized home. Stated taxes are after the 17.5% coop/condo primary residence abatement.

Boerum Hill | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Boerum Hill is a tiny, quiet, primarily residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. There are broad tree-lined streets that are filled with elegant three and four-story brownstones and townhouses, mostly built between 1840 and 1870. There is a definite family vibe to the neighborhood, but young professionals are moving in, and with them are coming trendy bars to cater to their desire for some measure of nightlife, without having to linger in Manhattan. These new bars and restaurants are being sandwiched in amongst existing shops on both Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street, which are the main commercial areas in Boerum Hill.

Boerum Hill offers a convenient location that is still able to maintain its small-neighborhood feel. Shopkeepers value their customers and remember their regulars. It continues to do what it was designed to do, namely provide small-town living in the very shadow of the big city. Boerum Hill is an easy commute to other parts of the city, making it easy to come home every day to the peace and tranquility of Boerum Hill while commuting to a job anywhere in the city.

The neighborhood is quite walkable and you can take the time to catch up with your neighbors while visiting on their stoops. Shopping on Atlantic Avenue is stress-free with no high pressure. You can meet with friends at any of the many coffee shops and while away pleasant hours in conversation. The dining scene on Smith Street is similarly laid-back. Don’t expect that there will be quite as much to see or do as there is in Manhattan, but there are a decent number of interesting bars and restaurants providing a measure of nightlife. The trade-off is worth it, as Boerum Hill provides a quiet, peaceful place to live and raise a family.
