Property Description for 212 North 9th Street, 6-A

A spacious, high-ceilinged and light-filled 1-bed apartment in the best North Williamsburg location awaits. Welcome home to a top-floor aerie offering private outdoor space in a nearly-new elevator building with exceptional common spaces and services. With striking and timeless interiors designed by the Meshberg Group, apartment 6A is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, but with every shop, restaurant, amenity, and transportation option right outside your door. Enter into a large foyer (a rarity in today's 1-beds!) that offers a dedicated coat closet and separate closet with a stacked Bosch washer/dryer. The main living space that lies beyond is a north-facing delight, with room for a table, chairs, sofa, media credenza, and more. It offers double-paned floor-to-ceiling windows and a door that leads out to your very own private balcony, perfect for a caf table and chairs, greenery or an urban garden of any sort. Have your morning coffee as you gaze over the architecturally distinct rooftops of North Williamsburg, or indulge in an evening cocktail and watch the setting sun from this tranquil spot. Back inside, a smartly-designed chef's kitchen with a huge center island with room for bar stools provides opportunity for cooks and entertainers alike. A paneled Liebherr refrigerator/freezer, paneled Bosch dishwasher, Bertazzoni gas range and vented hood, and oversized stainless-steel sink make cooking and cleanup easy, while spacious white and dark oak cabinetry provide space for all kitchen accessories. White quartz countertops on one side juxtapose beautifully with stainless steel counters on the other, creating a practical and cook-friendly space. The bedroom is a similarly light-filled, high-ceilinged affair. With space for a king-sized bed plus nightstands, window sills for decorative objects or plants, plus a huge double closet, you'll be able to store everything you need and find peace and quiet in this calming space overlooking the quiet street. An adjacent full bath offers a Toto toilet, Grohe fixtures, a custom wood vanity, and an extra-deep soaking tub/shower with a rain showerhead. Other details throughout include wide-plank oak floors in an ash gray finish, recessed lighting, central heating and cooling with multiple zones, and a top-floor location at the end of the hall that will afford this unit's new owner peace and serenity at all times. 212 North 9th Street is a 33-unit building with all the amenities you desire: virtual doorman, rooftop terrace with space to play and lounge, a fitness center, library and courtyard. North Williamsburg is well-established for its many amenities: close to McCarren Park and the waterfront with its views and green spaces, near all the best restaurants by top chefs, adjacent to fun bars and music venues, and close to parking, public and private schools, boutiques, grocery stores and more. The L train is one block away, the G train is nearby too, and the ferry is at the waterfront. There is a tax abatement that expires in 2027 for low monthlies too. Come make this smartly-designed and oversized 1-bedroom in prime Williamsburg your home today!

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
