Property Description for 425 East 13th Street, 1-A

Welcome home to an airy, spacious and sun filled large one bedroom plus home office (convertible to a small bedroom) in a full-service condominium with a unique rooftop pool with outdoor lawn and entertaining area in the heart of the East Village. This updated, modern loft style apartment has everything you need and is perfectly located and configured for a modern live/work/play lifestyle. As you enter Residence 1A, which is just off the fully staffed lobby, you are greeted by the open plan living / dining room with dramatic lush garden views below (the apt. is located above ground floor units). With floor to ceiling windows this home is very tranquil and completely secluded, offering a quiet and peaceful living environment. The current owner personally designed the open format kitchen and dining area to maximize continuity and entertaining space. Fully designed by minimalist German kitchen manufacturer Allmilmo, the area includes an integrated counter top dining area with peripheral seating. The chef’s kitchen includes double Celador Oyster Stone counter tops, dual GE Profile Series Wine Reserves (total bottle capacity 108), Bosch oven and dishwasher, and Sub-Zero refrigerator, all complemented by lacquer and glass cabinetry. An upgraded Miele washer/dryer system is located in the hallway entering the home office. The unit is further complemented by two full bathrooms – one with deep soaking tub and the other with a walk-in shower. The living room area faces the north, with the floor to ceiling windows receiving excellent sun-light throughout the day while overlooking the building’s manicured back garden. A truly unique feature to this condominium building is the rooftop in-ground pool and cabana area. A rarity in Manhattan, the rooftop provides ample areas to enjoy with cabanas for lounging poolside, peripheral outdoor lawn area, and multiple seating areas all complimented by outdoor BBQ, wet-bar and kitchen area. Additional building amenities include a full-time doorman and concierge, fitness center, package room, bike storage and rentable storage units (pending availability). Located on the northern side of the East Village, the condo offers direct access to the completely renovated and expanded L Train subway station – which provides easy access to multiple subway lines throughout Manhattan and one stop access to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. New to the neighborhood neighboring tenants include Trader Joe’s (on the same block) and Target, complemented by numerous other restaurants, bars and service providers. There is a current ongoing assessment of $219.03 per month.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
