Property Description for 151 Clifton Place, TRIPLEX

This two-bedroom, 2.5 bath triplex apartment will leave you speechless. The house is thoughtfully designed with a New York state of mind, complete with Art Deco wallpaper designed by Catherine Martin. Other notable design features include solid wood crown molding, 8" Duchatue hardwood floor, solid wood doors throughout, Haiku ceiling fans, leather-wrapped banister, and built-in entertainment center. The chef's kitchen is lined with stylish custom cabinetry and backed with Ann Sacks glass tile. It is fitted with a Viking stove, a Fisher Paykel refrigerator and a Thermador dishwasher. It has a massive marble island and a 4 x 9-ft skylight which floods the kitchen with beautiful indirect light. French doors take you from the kitchen to a 9 x 18 deck overlooking a luxurious landscaped garden. The garden is shaded with 3 varieties of birch, a red plum, and Japanese maple, with perennials throughout. LED lights set the evening ambiance. The kitchen is open to a large entertainment area with custom cabinetry, a hidden closet, and an inset tv. Beyond the entertainment area is a full living room, complete with original marble fireplace. A stylish half bathroom is draped with black/gold art nouveau wallpaper (Flavor Paper) custom built-in marble sink and mirrored ceilings. At the garden level entry you'll find generous storage under the stairs. This area is closed off by a large custom glass door leading into the house. The guest bedroom is set in the front, complete with a full bathroom, clearwater tub, and a large closet. The bathroom is tastefully designed with bluestone floor tile backed by glass wall tile. Between the 2 bedrooms there is a large walk-in laundry room with LG front-loading washer & dryer, additional storage, and folding table. Continuing down the hall there is a custom built-in desk space, with two large floor-to-ceiling closets on either side. Opposite the desk area is a massive walk-in closet. The sunken primary bedroom is serene and peaceful, overlooking the garden, and sconce-lit in the evening. Two entrances to the ensuite bathroom flank the bed. Lined with Carrara marble, this hotel-quality bath includes heated floors, heated towel rack, and a Mr Steam steam shower to help you unwind after a long day. The bedroom not only stays cool in the summer, but it is completely quiet to the outside. French doors open into the yard for those peaceful summer mornings. The entire apartment is super well appointed, with central AC throughout. Within easy reach are a number of subway and bus lines, as well as some of the most sought-after restaurants and eateries in the area. This one is not to be missed!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
