Property Description for 413 East 50th Street

Blending pristine luxury with tranquil design and detail, this stunning 5-story, 3600 sq.ft. townhouse leaves nothing to be desired. With a meticulously executed 2-year renovation by the Japanese design and construction firm Takamatsu Group, this four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is ready to welcome you. At 20 feet wide and a 100-foot deep, no expense has been spared, and no detail overlooked. With approximately 1700 square feet of gorgeous outdoor space, including a private garden and a stunning roof terrace with river views, endless al fresco and entertaining opportunities abound.

Entering the home through the parlor level, you are welcomed into the spacious, Zen-like great room. With 11.5-foot ceilings and abundance of North and South facing windows, the natural light streams through the impressive space. The bright living and dining areas are separated by a magnificent custom designed, open kitchen. European stone countertops and backsplash, integrated Miele appliances, vented gas cooktop, convection and speed ovens, and a wine refrigerator. Brand new Miele appliances, and abundant cabinet space make this kitchen a chef's dream.

A stunning gas fireplace in the living area makes a statement and allows the room to be welcoming all year round. This is emphasized with direct access to the garden though floor to ceiling glass doors.

One flight up you will find the full floor, luxurious primary suite overlooking the charming tree-lined street. A generous walk-through dressing room will lead you to an inviting windowed, master bathroom that is outfitted with radiant heated floors, a free standing bathtub, glass enclosed wet room, and a custom designed double vanity with Dornbracht fixtures. The 3rd floor has two additional generously sized bedrooms, complete with en-suite bathrooms and abundant closet space. Access to the roof deck is one short flight up.

The garden level boasts a wonderfully designed guest apartment or in-law suite with a separate entrance from the street or within the home itself. A bedroom, bathroom, laundry room and an open concept kitchen-living-dining room with direct access to the garden through charming French doors affords both efficiency and privacy.

Other residence features include a powder room on the parlor floor, stunning roof deck, 8" plank oak flooring throughout, two dedicated laundry rooms with LG washers and vented dryers, high performance Daikin multi-zone central air systems, Miele appliances, vented stove hood and garbage disposal.

The tranquil enclave of Beekman Place offers the peaceful elegance of an exclusive neighborhood, while still just steps away from the city's top restaurants, boutiques, and transportation options.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
