Property Description for 111 Murray Street, PH-2

A dream realized, 111 Murray's Penthouse Two is an entirely custom turnkey home unlike any other, meticulously designed by MR Architecture + Decor atop one of the most highly regarded residential developments downtown.

Rarely is a home of this size offered on a single level. Penthouse Two's sprawling 7,488 interior and 222 exterior square feet include five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, and exquisitely proportioned living and entertaining spaces, all wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass that immerse you in cinematic views of the Manhattan skyline, Hudson River, New York Harbor, and beyond. At MR's careful hand, Penthouse Two features bespoke finishes typically reserved for private commissions.

From the private elevator vestibule, dramatic White Oak double doors open to a formal entry gallery and library with far-reaching views that span river to river. The entry sequence leads to a massive glass-wrapped great room sprawling over 90 feet long, anchored by a Cippolino Nero stone fireplace and adjacent terrace, all surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass that opens endless views that stun equally day and night.

Through pocket doors, the great room segues to a more intimately scaled corner living room which floats above a glistening Hudson River and extends into the massive 30'x17' kitchen. Here, exquisite customizations include cerused White Oak cabinetry trimmed in soft black metal and hand-selected slabs of Dover White stone across the massive waterfall island, countertops, and backsplashes, all outfitted with premium appliances by Gaggenau and Miele.

The home's five bedrooms are secluded in the southern half of the Penthouse, with a 1,402-square-foot primary suite positioned in the southwest corner overlooking the Hudson River. This suite offers a private terrace, two dressing rooms, and dual primary bathrooms, each outfitted with Bianco Dolomiti marble slab flooring, vanity tops, and walls, Dornbracht fixtures, radiant heated floors, separate showers, and private water closets. The west-facing bathroom boasts a polished ivory Onyx slab feature wall and a freestanding soaking tub positioned to enjoy spectacular views.

Four additional bedrooms each offer remarkable open vistas and beautifully appointed en suite bathrooms. A powder room, utility room with washer, vented dryer and sink, and two separate service entrances complete this magnificent Penthouse.

A world-class condominium tower located in Tribeca and developed by a partnership of Fisher Brothers, Witkoff, and New Valley, 111 Murray Street soars over 800 feet, offering 157 residences ranging from one-bedrooms to full-floor penthouses. 111 Murray Street is a collaboration between some of the best and brightest minds, with architecture by Kohn Pedersen Fox, residence interiors by MR Architecture + Decor, amenities and public spaces by David Rockwell, and landscape architecture by AD100 landscape architect Edmund Hollander. With a gently curved crystalline facade, the building's sculptural silhouette softly flares to a peaked crown at its pinnacle, creating a bold new shape on the city skyline. Occupying a privileged location in Tribeca, 111 Murray Street is surrounded by the best that Downtown has to offer. Over 20,000 square feet of private indoor and outdoor spaces include two levels of state-of-the-art amenities as well as stunning landscaped gardens, seamlessly integrating the interiors and the outdoors.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
