Property Description for 50 West Street, 24-B

AVAILABLE August 15th, 2022. NO FEE APARTMENT!

INITIAL SHOWINGS will BEGIN June 15th, 2022

This expansive 2,309 square foot 3BR/3.5 BTH corner home with Southeastern exposure features incredible water views of New York Harbor. The 20 foot Floor to Ceiling curved glass windows bring in light into the Great Room with an open kitchen. The waterfall granite island elongates an elegant chef's kitchen with custom stained walnut cabinetry, built-in Miele and Subzero appliances like 5 burner gas cooktop, side-by-side refrigerator and freezer, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, and a range hood that vents directly to the outside.

The primary bedroom lies in the eastern wing of the home looking and welcomes sunrises. The en-suite five fixture primary bath features floating, backlit marble vanity, radiant floor heating, Hansgrohe polished chrome fixtures, and electronic Toto toilet with built-in bidet. The second and third bedroom lie enclosed in the southern wing of the home with additional closets and full-size washer and dryer (ventilated outside). The second and third baths and powder room include marble wet walls and floors as well as custom vanities.

50 West, a 64-story residential tower located in the center of the New Downtown, features unparalleled views of the New York Harbor, the Hudson and East Rivers, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. Internationally-acclaimed architect Helmut Jahn has designed the approximately 780' skyscraper to feature floor-to-ceiling curved glass windows. The expansive interior layouts, ranging from one to five bedrooms and featuring an array of duplex and double height spaces, were designed and finished by Thomas Juul-Hansen.

Four floors of the tower are devoted to state-of-the-art amenities: an immense Fitness Center, the beautifully-appointed Water Club, unique children’s amenities, and The Observatory at 50 West Street, a spectacular 64th floor outdoor entertaining space with seemingly infinite views of New York and beyond.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
