Property Description for 470 West 24th Street, 2-H

Are you looking for an intimate Townhouse feeling residence, yet you may require the convenience of a full service 24 hr lobby attended building? You may wish to make your way over to 470 W 24th St, Residence 2H, where you'll find a seamless blend of 1930's prewar architecture mixing harmoniously with a woodsy upstate cabin environment. This handsome + stylish home boasts arched top windows, original 1930's pewter door frames, solid oak wood floors all complimented with mosaic tile flooring in the entry foyer and kitchen. The generous size open plan kitchen area features an enormous stone top island breakfast bar, full size high-end appliances and tons of floor to ceiling storage capabilities. The introduction of organic textures like wood + stone enhance the existing prewar character all the while mimicking the industrial traits inspired by the elevated railroad tracks just across the street in the new Highline Park (entrance at the corner). Take the elevator up to the 21st floor where one discovers the planted roof deck with its outdoor shower and jaw dropping views of Manhattan's famous landmark buildings, New Jersey skyline and Hudson River. Be sure to schedule time to take a dip in our 1/2 Olympic size indoor pool, or enjoy a fine steam or sauna. Now is the time to live a true urban experience residing in a 92 year old community of neighbors in New York City. It may be one of the best experiences of your life! We'll be sure you live like royalty here in iconic London Terrace Towers.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
