Gut-Renovated Designer Home in FiDi - welcome to 17A! This spacious, beautifully renovated, 2-bed, 2-bath home features deluxe finishes throughout with an abundance of natural light and great open Fidi views through the oversized windows. This apartment has been gut renovated and the transformation is nothing short of spectacular. The renovation includes luxury finishes throughout, and features high-end appliances and fixtures, brand new electric and plumbing systems, a large chef's kitchen with "smart" refrigerator and two bathrooms with floor to ceiling travertine marble, high-end stainless steel fixtures, and toilets with multi-setting bidets, chic chandeliers, custom medicine cabinets, walk-in shower with non-fog glass, a built-in niche, heating system, and a rain showerhead.
Completing the picture are elegant hardwood floors, oversized sash windows with marble window seats, ample closet space, and dimmable light switches throughout the apartment. The spacious chef's kitchen is equipped with travertine marble floors, quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash, custom cabinets, under-counter LED lighting, an integrated wine cooler and wine rack, and high-end stainless steel appliances including the Samsung Hub "smart" refrigerator, with speakers, television streaming, inventory sensors, and a built-in filtration system for water and ice, among a multitude of other high-tech capabilities. Adorning the dining space is a stunning 37-inch Crystal Rain chandelier. The primary bedroom is large enough for a California king-size bed and includes custom-built storage, and a pristine full bathroom with travertine marble walls and floors, chandelier pendant lighting, a pedestal sink, large medicine cabinet, and a soaking tub/shower with integrated body misters. The second bedroom has its own closet and built-in shelves. The ceiling height is currently just under 9-FT but can be raised to approximately 11-ft if desired.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
