Beauty, space and location – you’ll find all three in this fabulous 2 bed, 2 bath pre-war co-op in Windsor Terrace, just two blocks from Prospect Park! This beautifully renovated apartment, with arches galore, is simply enormous. A combo of two apartments, this unit gives you the flexibility to have multiple office spaces, a dining room (in one of the foyers), and the possibility of creating a third bedroom. See alternate layout attached. You’ll enter to find a large foyer, and huge living room with 2 exposures. There’s plenty of room to relax and or entertain here. Walk through the arches to the newly renovated windowed eat-in-kitchen, with plentiful cabinetry and quartz counters, stainless steel appliances and a dinette. There is a large and useful office space. Beautiful French doors separate the office from the master bedroom, which has 2 windows. The second bedroom has two exposures and is huge. There are two renovated black and white subway tile baths – each with pedestal sinks and a window. There is also a large windowed laundry room (which could easily be used as a nursery or 2nd or third office.) Additional amenities include 7 large closets, hardwood floors and high ceilings. Two storage areas come with the unit. This apartment faces the back of the building – and is quiet and peaceful. This beautiful pre-war building is perfectly located on a quiet leafy green block in Windsor Terrace. (although the address is 40 Ocean Pkwy, neither the building nor the apartment face Ocean Pkwy). This elevator building has a live-in super, a common garden and the building is pet friendly. A rare opportunity – it’s an easy stroll to Prospect Park, the F/G trains and and a stone's throw to all the fabulous new eateries on Prospect Avenue and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, including Cena, Le Paddock, Della, Adirondack Tavern, Poetica, Hamilton’s and more.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
