Property Description for 1007 Bergen Street, 2-A

Welcome home to 1007 Bergen, the crown jewel of Crown Heights. A four unit boutique condo conversion with a rich history and a definite place in the future. The goal in designing this building was to create maximum living with practical earth-friendly solutions. Brooklyn Solar Works has installed a gorgeous pergola style solar panel that will not only act as shade (for unit 3A's) private outdoor living space; it will help subsidize the electric for all common areas of the building.

Triple threat: The upper three units feature 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and 2 outdoor spaces. The 4th unit, is a garden duplex. Coming Fall 2022.

Each unit was uniquely carved out and restored, for modern living, maintaining the charm from the original silhouette built in the 1920's.

Enter into the south wing where you will find an open floorplan: kitchen, living room and office alcove. Bedrooms and baths are located in the north wing with additional outdoor space for each unit off the primary bedroom.

Travel to your designated private roof top area for extra outdoor living space. Whether your preference is rooftop living or back garden; the additional outdoor space is perfect for any activity whether it is enjoying yoga or a Peloton ride while overlooking the city skyline or gardening in your beautiful backyard.

The upper three units host three exposures: North, South and West.

The chef's kitchen is super chic and incredibly functional complete with a 5 burner stove, a golden pot filler, a Carrera waterfall island, Liebherr refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher as well as other upgraded features.

Unit 2A boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a designated outdoor space in the south end of the roof.

Each unit has plenty of storage and additional designated basement storage with bike area.

We could not be more excited for the future homeowners to live and create a home here at 1007 Bergen. Do not miss out on an incredible opportunity to live in a community that values the earth without missing a beat on the luxury of new construction. Please note that the west windows are lot line windows.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
