Property Description for 735 East 9th Street, 4-R

Into the front door and through the secret corridor of 735 E 9th Street, you’ll access the private rear building where this old-world oasis sits just two flights up. Upon entering the loft, you are welcomed by a wide foyer, patinated hardwood floors, exposed piping and an architectural arch that opens up to the living space. A large, open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and huge breakfast bar overlooks the dining and living areas. Built-in wood bookshelves add to the charm of the space large enough to separate into designated living and home office areas. Head towards the west side of the apartment and you will pass the laundry room and secondary bathroom before reaching three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet and full ensuite bath. The home features central heat and air conditioning, whole home audio, and Verizon Fios is soon to be available in the building. 735 E 9th Street is a two building coop in the heart of Alphabet City that sits an arm’s distance from East River and Tompkins Square Parks. Along with the endless bars and restaurants that define the East Village, this industrial-styled building is quintessentially New York City. Email, call, or text to set up an appointment to view this one of a kind home.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
