Property Description for 474 Greenwich Street, 4-S

Perfectly located in northwest Tribeca is this stunning two to three bedroom loft with two full baths, powder room, central air conditioning , private washer/dryer and a large private storage room is an architectural study in classic New York with just the right touch of modernity. Designed to perfection, this space is both the perfect form and function.

Enter from a keyed elevator onto a semi-private landing and into a large living room with new wide-plank floors, high ceilings, large windows, wood beams, timber columns and exposed brick. Hidden is a home office and separate den for movie nights.

The stunning kitchen has custom cabinets, stone counters, professional grade appliances by Wolf, Sub-Zero and Bosch and an externally vented hood. This is truly the heart of this space that has an incredible soul.

Tucked away from it all, the primary suite is the place dreams are made of. Pin-drop quiet and expertly designed, endless custom closets and a truly magnificent spa-like ensuite bath experience helps welcome each day. A truly zen experience, the primary bath is the epitome of calm from its stone clad custom double vanity with wood accents to the large two person shower with frameless glass enclosure, high end hardware and fixtures are all on display.

The large second bedroom is the perfect place for kids or guests. With creative spaces incorporated for homework or hanging out with friends, while letting the imagination run wild, this room is intelligently designed and exceptionally practical.

A media room has been incorporated for entertaining or curling up with your favorite book. This could also be an ideal third bedroom. The adjacent home office has been creatively hidden from the living space and is truly the perfect space to get work done. This home has been designed to maximize storage and has amazing closets, but also comes with a large storage room in the basement.

This is one of the most beautiful spaces to come on the market in Tribeca in some time. 474 Greenwich is a well maintained elevator building perfectly located moments from Locanda Verde, Mr. Chow, Bubby's, The Greek and a number of some of the best restaurants downtown. The New Google and Disney headquarters are less than five minutes away, while SoHo and some of the best shopping in the world are within easy reach. Pets, copurchasing and pied-a-terres are ok with board approval.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
