Property Description for 328 Central Ave, 1-A

Oversized 1 Bedroom / 1.5 Bath Duplex inclusive of a rec space great for an ART STUDIO or HOME OFFICE ! As soon as you walk into the apartment it feels more like a house then an apartment as you’ll notice the staircase to your left, full bathroom and chefs kitchen in front of you and additional space for lounging and dining. The formal bedroom and closet is off the main living space. Walk down the set of stairs, you’ll truly feel as though you’re traversing a townhome from one level to another where your in-unit laundry is located as well as a powder room. This floor is where the magic happens. Ample space for a desk under the staircase, as well as ample seating for living, and hanging. Great for an ART STUDIO or HOME OFFICE ! In one of the most competitive real estate markets in over 15 years, you will be hard pressed to find a modern apartment with almost 900SF of space at this price point. Ideally located for loyal Brooklynites, 328 Central is surrounded by local gems and social stomping grounds. Get your morning fix at IC Brooklyn Café, grab a drink at The Wheelhouse, rock out at Bushwick Public House, and dress up for date night at Maite, all of which are within walking distance. When you’re ready to see what lies beyond the neighborhood, the Knickerbocker M train station will get you to Manhattan in seven stops and the J & Z trains are on Central Avenue. Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
