Property Description for 105 Lexington Ave, 1-D

This sun-splashed loft sits on the Clinton Hill–Bedford Stuyvesant border. In a converted 1930's box factory this loft is not your typical white box, it’s “Brooklyn cosmopolitan meets industrial chic”. Enter and you are greeted by 13 ft’ ceilings with a view of large oversized windows that allow southern sun to pour in. The kitchen features two-tone cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a glass tile backsplash, and Shivakashi Granite countertops. The flexible, open plan can be tailored to fit all your needs. It’s currently configured as an office and primary bedroom… plus two loft spaces which are perfect for a study nook, art studio, or upper sleeping loft. The primary bedroom is large and has custom California Closets. The office is bi-level also with custom cabinetry. The oversized bathroom has a stand-up glass-enclosed shower and a deep soaking jacuzzi tub. Unique architectural features such as the original maple factory floors running end to end, and two vintage rolling ladders accentuate this unique and lovely space. There is an in-unit washer/dryer plus central heat and A/C. Amenities include two large shared roof decks with breathtaking views as well as an elevator, a newly renovated gym, bike storage, and a package area. Pet friendly with a part-time super and video intercom This prime Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy property is 3 blocks from the G train and 5 blocks from the A/C train. The neighborhood is surrounded by incredible restaurants and shops including local favorites such as Speedy Romeo and Clementine Bakery

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
