Property Description for 184 Saint Nicholas Ave, 1

Welcome to 184 St. Nicholas Avenue Apt 1, a sprawling 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom duplex with a private backyard. The apartment, which spans over 1,900 square feet, was gut renovated in 2021 and is in pristine condition and ready for its new owners.

When you enter the apartment, you are greeted by a gorgeous kitchen that features marble countertops and backsplashes, a stainless-steel GE Appliance package, including a fingerprint resistant French door refrigerator, top control built-in tall tub dishwasher, microwave, and an edge-to-edge 5-burner gas range with an extra-large integrated cooktop griddle. The custom wood shaker cabinetry includes a soft close feature, coupled with open shelving to offer ample storage and an aesthetically pleasing composition. Off the kitchen, you will find the first of two living areas, which is large enough to accommodate both a dining area for entertaining and a seating area for relaxation.

At the other end of the hallway, you will find the primary and secondary bedrooms. The primary bedroom has direct access to the backyard and features a walk-in closet and ensuite primary bathroom. The bathroom boasts a glass-enclosed rainfall shower, vertically laid subway tiles, and radiant heated floors for extra comfort, creating the ultimate spa-like experience.

The secondary bedroom is large enough to accommodate a queen-sized bed and desk and looks out over the backyard making it pin drop quiet. The secondary bathroom, which can be found off the hallway, is equipped with a deep soaking tub, white subway tiles and matte black hardware. Both bathrooms include custom wood and stone floating dual vanities, plus radiant heated floors.

Downstairs, you will find an enormous, recreational room that is perfect for either an in-home entertainment system, game room, gym, office or all of the above. For convenience, there is a half bath located on this level outfitted with elegant, aqua colored, penny tiles. Conveniently, you can also access the backyard through this area.

The entire residence has also just been outfitted with wood-frame Pella windows, which compliments the new wide-plank white oak flooring throughout. It also features central heating and cooling throughout and is equipped with an extra large, LG stackable washer and dryer.

The building is in a culturally diverse community, with great dining and entertainment options just at your doorstep, including Ops Pizza, Sally Roots, Cherry on Top, Gordo’s Cantina, Variety Coffee Roasters, and Ollie’s Ice Cream & Stuff. The building is also easily accessible to the L train at the Dekalb Ave Station, just 2 blocks away and the M train, just 7 blocks away.

**Qualified buyers can take advantage of First Republic’s Eagle Community Loan for a 3.75%, 30-year fixed mortgage with $4K in closing cost assistance.**

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
