Property Description for 155 Terrace Place, 1-G

Brooklyn charm meets Windsor Terrace exclusivity in this lovely duplex condo, a turn-key 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home nestled just two blocks from Prospect Park. Features of this 1,130 sq. ft. apartment include beautiful hardwood floors, a renovated kitchen, crown molding, split-system A/C's throughout, a home office, chic built-ins, and a convenient in-unit washer/dryer. A verdant front lawn, manicured plantings, and classic redbrick facade frame a private walkway leading to an elegant wrought-iron-gated front door. The upper level of the home begins with an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space with vibrant eastern light. The renovated corner kitchen is modern and bright, equipped with custom cabinets, sleek stone countertops, a white subway tile backsplash, and a suite of high-end stainless steel appliances. A quiet guest bedroom with built-in storage and a travertine marble full bathroom completes the upper level. The lower level of the home contains a pair of bedrooms, a home office, laundry room and a full bathroom. The primary bedroom is large enough for a king-size bed and has side-by-side reach-in closets, while the secondary bedroom has built-in storage. Both bedrooms share access to a large full bathroom with travertine marble walls and floors and a step-in rain shower. The Prospect Park Mews is a desirable 55-unit condominium situated in the heart of Windsor Terrace. The building is professionally managed and offers thoughtful lifestyle amenities including a tranquil landscaped courtyard, common laundry, private off-street parking with a short wait-list, and a recently renovated spacious shared rooftop deck with dining and lounge furniture and a grill. It is two blocks from Prospect Park, and it is moments from a variety of local restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. The F and G subway lines are less than five blocks away. Pets are welcome.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
