Property Description for 71 Reade Street, 2-B

Welcome to 71 Reade Street which has been crafted by the esteemed Selldorf Architects to bring an elegant condominium to the heart of Tribeca. Unit 2B of this boutique and chic residence showcases highly sought-after features such as an in-unit side by side washer/dryer, private parking, and a private outdoor terrace with multiple access points.

At almost 2,000 square feet, this custom three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home sets itself apart from most and is accentuated by floor to ceiling windows throughout. As you enter the grand foyer, complemented by a stylish powder room, the residence opens up into a luxurious open concept kitchen custom designed by Eggersmann including top of the line appliances by Gaggenau. Flowing right off of the kitchen’s waterfall island is the living room aligned by a wall of windows, two Juliette balconies and a dining room large enough to accommodate grand dinner parties.

Set aside from the living and dining areas are all three bedrooms which have full en-suite bathrooms and direct access to the private 236 square foot terrace. The primary bedroom is large enough to comfortably fit a king sized bed and it boasts a luxurious walk-in closet. Its palatial en-suite bathroom highlights a floating double vanity next to the spa-like walk-in rain shower and deep soaking tub. Bedrooms two and three are equally spacious and each have ample closet space with room to install more storage if needed. All of the rooms are complete with light oak hardwood floors throughout to blend in harmoniously with the natural light gleaming in all day from the northern and southern exposures.

Reade Chambers at 71 Reade Street is a 24-hour doorman condominium offering residents an array of deluxe amenities including a pet spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a children’s playroom, bicycle storage, and the aforementioned private parking garage. There are also two outdoor spaces that include a rooftop terrace and a landscaped courtyard providing further outdoor escapes to 2B’s private terrace. Storage space is also available.

On the cusp of the building’s location are City Hall Park, Battery Park City, and the Hudson River. The surrounding trendy restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops are all easily accessible in addition to the 1/2/3/A/C/R/W subway lines all located less than five minutes away.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
