Property Description for 60 White Street, 4-E

Perfectly situated in the center of Downtown Manhattan, this nearly 2,000 sq. ft. immaculate Tribeca loft at 60 White Street strikes a harmonious balance between the warmth of luxury, the wisdom of environmental integrity, and sublime minimalism. Built in 1869, this historic building was fully converted in 2017 into eight brand new, divine floor-through lofts imbued in earthly serenity by design. A tranquil eco-lobby featuring a vertical garden offers sanctuary from the hum, hustle and bustle of the City. Alight from a key-locked elevator through a secondary security door and enter a voluminous living/entertaining area. Its open concept ensures plenty of space for lounging and dining and, when entertaining, for family members, friends and guests to gather around the kitchen as you prepare a sumptuous feast. Enormous Zola Passive House triple-pane windows complement the soaring 11'6" ceilings providing ample natural light and airiness, while the original exposed brick and wide-plank reclaimed wood floors add warmth and coziness to the home. The exquisite chef's kitchen is a joy to behold! Top of the line appliances that include dual steam and convection Wolf oven, a Wolf induction cooktop plus Sub-zero, Asko and Thermador appliances blend seamlessly with the locally sourced custom wood cabinets and Vermont marble countertop. Beautiful millwork and a matching glass and wood pocket door separate the kitchen from the entryway. On the north wing are two bedrooms. The spacious primary suite easily accommodates a king-size bed and more! A beautiful dressing room leads to a 6-piece primary bathroom that features a separate water closet, a soaking tub, and a steam shower with dual shower heads. The adjacent second bedroom, too, has an equally luxurious en-suite bath. A study, powder room, mud room, walk-in closets, and laundry room separate the entertaining and bedroom wings. Additional state-of-the-art features of the property include separate air control, perimeter radiant heating, electronic and video intercom systems, as well as in individually-wired security system by American Security, pre-wired Cloud9 system and Lutron home automation system. Building amenities include an on-site fitness center, storage, and a private residential lounge with green landscape features. 60 White Street enables owners to enjoy the allure of chic Soho shops and lounges, just a couple of blocks away. Craving pasta or a delicious sfogliatella from Ferrara's bakery? No problem. Little Italy is nearby. Sunday dim sum at Jing Fong's? Done. How about music and cocktails at B-Flat? Great! Whatever the desire it's found within short walking distance. Heading Uptown? Subways are a breeze. The 6 train gets you to the East Side, N/Q/R to Broadway and Midtown, A/C/E/1 to the West Side.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
