Property Description for 11 West 30th Street, 13-FLR

Occupying the full thirteenth floor and offering open southern, western and northern views is this sprawling 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom classic loft apartment with radiant natural light, 11' ceilings throughout and a magnificently appointed open floor plan and design created by AD 100 architect '1100 Architects'. Enter through your key-locked elevator and into your bright and airy open living and dining rooms where 60 feet of western frontage offers stunning all day light through eight oversized windows. The kitchen features integrated top-end appliances and custom milled oak shelving and accents -- offering warmth and tasteful contrast against poured concrete countertops and floors. The spacious principal suite occupies the northeast wing of the home and is accessed via a well-appointed gallery hallway. The space is equipped with an expansive walk-in closet, an en-suite bath with double vanity and walk-in shower as well as a lovely terrace. At the opposite end of the home and deliberately separated from the primary suite and living spaces, find two spacious south-facing bedrooms as well as an additional den/studio space. The entire southern exposure is framed by a planting terrace, which can easily be converted to an expansive usable outdoor space. A full-sized laundry room is also toward this end of the home and ample storage space is accessible throughout. Occupied for years by a multi-faceted creator, this incredible loft space offers the perfect live/work opportunity, quick access to all cultural corridors of the city and abundant creative inspiration. 11 West 30th Street is a boutique 17-unit cooperative with a full-time super, video intercom security system and common roof deck. Positioned in a pre-war garment manufacturing building just off 5th Avenue, the home enjoys a prime location nearby the many wonderful restaurants and experiences that NoMad has on offer.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
