Property Description for 416 Madison Street

Welcome to 416 Madison Street; a bespoke 20' wide, four-story, two-family brownstone smart-home nestled on a quintessential tree-lined street in the heart of bustling Bedford-Stuyvesant. No stone was left unturned during an extensive gut renovation with stunning attention to detail, custom finishes and a thoughtfully designed layout that provides convenient flow throughout your home.

Craftsmanship, design and quality come to life as soon as you enter your 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom triplex through custom double-doors and into your grand parlor floor. Be welcomed by an open, but distinct living, dining and kitchen areas spanning across nearly 52' of length, perfect for entertaining. Detailed with 5' white oak plank flooring, soaring 11' ceilings and an abundance of natural light, the parlor level conveys a lofty and warm home environment. Past your cozy living room space, the south facing windowed chef's kitchen overlooks your dreamy garden and becomes the epicenter of your home, equipped with a full Bertazzoni appliance package, including convection oven, wine fridge, 5 burner range, vented hood, pantry and center island, detailed with a veiny white Quartz countertop and backsplash to compliment chic soft-close inset cabinetry. At the rear of the floor is a spacious formal dining area with an oversized window bringing in sunshine & lush garden views, along with seamless garden access through sliding doors & your very own deck. A coat closet, powder room & entry foyer complete the parlor floor.

Elegant staircase with a custom crafted wooden banister leads you to your primary bedroom suite, which encompasses the entire third level of your home and features a spacious south-facing bedroom with a zen-like deck overlooking your garden oasis. Walk through a massively outfitted California closet and into your primary bathroom drenched in elegant marble detail, featuring double sinks/vanity, deep soaking eggshell tub, double shower bodies along with niche details making for a spa-type experience. An en-suite guest bedroom and two other adjacent bedrooms are located on the sky lit top floor, providing extra comfort whether you need an extra home office, nursery or playroom. Laundry was thoughtfully provided on the top level for seamless access to all bedrooms and bathrooms. The garden level is a spacious, well-appointed full floor 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom residence perfectly suited for those looking to have a guest apartment, earn rental income or have a completely separated home office/work studio. A fully finished basement has already been internally combined to either be included for the main owner's use or provided with the garden to add to your monthly rental income. Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
